The aim of this research is to find out the error sources in Bahasa Indonesia to English translation in descriptive text made by students. The writer used descriptive qualitative research. The subject of the research is the eight grade students of SMPN 1 Arjawinangun. The total of the Eight grade students of SMPN 1 Arjawinangun is 272 (9 classes). The writer took 30 students as the sample of the research. The object of the research is errors in translating from bahasa indonesia to English in descriptive text. The writer used written test as the instrument. The purpose of the written test was to get the data of the students' source error of translation from bahasa Indonesia to English. The writer analyzed the data by using tranlsation theories from Sager (1983). From the research, the writer found 355 translation errors from 30 students. There are 77 morphological errors, 96 lexical errors, and 182 synthatic errors. In addition the writer also found that the other error sources in translation such as missing word and incorect writing errors. There are 12 missing word errors and 8 incorect writing errors based on the data. It can be conluded that the eight grade students of SMPN 1 Arjawinangun who tried to translate from bahasa indonesia to english are still making error in translation. The most dominant of the source error is synthatic error.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of income and welfare of business people who have businesses in white sand beach tourism areas. Data obtained from the results of interviews, observations and literature that has been carried out on business people. The results obtained show that the average income of traders from businesses in tourist attractions in Pasir Putih Beach is IDR 41,644,000 per year. Annual per capita income of Rp. 17,196,181 and included in the category of not poor with a score of 4 and per capita expenditure per year Rp. 6,877,790, in this amount categorized as not poor with a score of 4. It is known that the average score of businesses in the tourism area White Sand Beach is 30 which are categorized as high for the level of welfare.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh promosi jabatan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan pada PT. Medisafe Technologies Jl. Sultan Serdang Desa Buntu Bedimbar Tanjung Morawa Deli Serdang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu karyawan pada PT. Medisafe Technologies yang berjumlah 61 orang. Dalam penelitian ini, pertimbangan yang di ambil adalah karyawan yang pernah mendapatkan promosi jabatan. Maka jumlah sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 61 karyawan. Teknik analisis data yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menyebar kuisioner dan diolah secara statistik dengan menggunakan program SPSS Versi 20. Dari hasil pengolahan analisis data dengan koefisien regresi linier sederhana yang diketahui adalah Y = 12,700 + 0,650 X yang artinya promosi jabatan mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variabel prestasi kerja karyawan dan dari hasil perolehan uji t, thitung (8,416) > ttabel (2.00100), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga variabel X memiliki kontribusi terhadap variabel Y. Dan berdasarkan uji koefisien determinasi didapat nilai sebesar 0,546. Hal ini berarti bahwa pengaruh promosi jabatan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan adalah sebesar 54,6%. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 45,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini
