Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a life-threatening hyperinflammation syndrome emerging after COVID-19. The serum delta neutrophil index (DNI) reflects the fraction of circulating immature granulocytes and is evaluated in infection and inflammation. The aim of this study is to evaluate the usefulness of DNI as a diagnostic marker in patients with MIS-C and to assess its role in determining the severity of MIS-C. This retrospective, observational study included 83 patients with MIS-C and 113 patients with COVID-19, and 102 healthy controls. C-reactive protein (CRP), the absolute neutrophil count (ANC), absolute lymphocyte count (ALC), DNI, and the platelet count were recorded. The DNI levels were 4.60 ± 5.70% in the MIS C group, 0.30 ± 0.99% in the COVID group, and 0.20 ± 0.56% in the control group ( p < 0.001). According to the severity of MIS-C, the DNI level was found to be 1.22% in mild MIS-C, 4.3% in moderate MIS-C, and 5.7% in severe MIS-C. There was a statistically significant correlation between DNI levels and the severity of MIS-C. The cutoff value of DNI for predicting MIS-C was 0.45%. In the analysis of the diagnostic performance of DNI compared with CRP, ANC, ALC and platelet counts, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were found to be 79.5%, 97.1%, 95.7%, and 85.3%, respectively. Conclusions : The delta neutrophil index was identified as a diagnostic marker for MIS-C such as ANC, ALC, platelet count, and CRP. DNI levels in hemogram analysis may guide clinicians in determining the diagnosis and severity of MIS-C. What is Known: • Although CRP, sedimentation, ALC, ANC, platelet count, sodium, and albumin are used as first step tests, there is no specific laboratory marker used in the diagnosis of MIS C. • The serum delta neutrophil index (DNI) reflects the fraction of circulating immature granulocytes and is elevated in infection and inflammation. What is New: • DNI is a promising and easily accessible marker that can be used with other markers in the diagnosis and determines the severity of MIS C. • DNI is an easily accessible, inexpensive, and dynamic marker and its levels in simple hemogram analysis will guide pediatricians in determining the diagnosis and severity in MIS C.
Today, with the widespread use of the internet, the concept of digital consumer comes to the fore as well as the traditional consumer concept. Many countries and sectors have been adversely affected by the disaster that occurred in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and which the World Health Organization expressed as the epidemic called COVID-19 on January 12, 2020. This situation caused consumers to spend more time and shop in digital environments. For this reason, knowing the e-commerce food retail sector consumer complaints is very important for companies to ensure customer satisfaction. This study aims to examine the customer's complaints of two major grocery chains in the e-commerce retail sector in Turkey by using the content analysis method. In this context, a total of 443 complaints about e-commerce food retail businesses obtained from www.sikayetvar.com between 01 July -26 August 2020 were resolved according to the issues. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the majority of the related e-commerce food retail consumer complaints were product and price refunds and delay in product delivery. Aralık 2019'da Çin'in Wuhan kentinde ortaya çıkan ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü'nün 12 Ocak 2020'de COVID-19 adlı salgın olarak ifade ettiği felaketten birçok ülke ve sektör olumsuz etkilenmiştir. Bu durum ise tüketicilerin dijital ortamlarda daha fazla zaman geçirmelerine ve alışveriş yapmalarına sebep olmuştur. Bu nedenle e-ticaret gıda perakende sektörü tüketici şikayetlerinin bilinmesi, firmaların müşteri memnuniyeti sağlamaları açsından oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye genelinde e-ticaret perakende sektöründe faaliyette bulunan iki büyük market zinciri müşterilerinin yapmış oldukları şikayetlerin içerik analizi yöntemi ile incelenmesidir. Bu kapsamda 01 Temmuz -26 Ağustos 2020 tarihleri arasında www.sikayetvar.com sitesinden elde edilen e-ticaret gıda perakende işletmelerine yönelik toplam 443 şikâyet konulara göre çözümlenmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen çözümleme sonucunda ilgili e-ticaret gıda perakende tüketici şikayetlerinin büyük çoğunluğunun ürün ve ücret iadesi, ürün teslimatında gecikme olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Özet: Kırsal kalkınma, kırsal alanlarda yaşayan halkın refah düzeyinin iyileştirilerek şehir ve kırsal alanlar arasındaki ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel gelişmişlik farklarının azaltılmasına dayanan bir süreçtir. Kırsal alanlarda tarıma dayalı kalkınma tek başına yeterli olmadığından dolayı sanayi üretiminin olmadığı bu alanlarda turizm alternatif bir kalkınma aracı olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Kırsal turizm, göç ve ekonomik sorunların yaşandığı ve nüfus yoğunluğunun az olduğu yerleşim alanlarında yapılan bir turizm çeşididir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Yozgat ili kırsal turizm SWOT analizinin yapılarak kırsal turizmin geliştirilmesi için önerilerde bulunmaktır. Bu çalışmada, Yozgat ilinde kırsal turizm potansiyeline sahip olan yerler ve potansiyel kırsal turizm çeşitleri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada turizmin il genelinde gelişmesinde etkili olan kamu ve özel sektörde çalışan yönetici ve uzmanlarla yapılan ikili görüşmeler neticesinde veriler toplanmıştır. Toplanan verilere SWOT analizi uygulanmıştır. SWOT analizi sonuçlarına göre Yozgat ili kırsal turizminin güçlü yönleri; Yozgat ilinde bulunan termal tesisler, kültürel, tarihi ve doğal güzelliklerdir. Zayıf yönleri; tutundurma çalışmalarının eksikliği nedeniyle turizm bilincinin yeterince geliştirilmemesi, turizm konusunda kurumlar arası işbirliği eksiklikleri ve mevcut tesislerin sayısının yetersiz olmasıdır. Fırsatlar; kırsal turizme olan ilginin sürekli artması, il genelinde endüstriyel üretim alanlarının azlığı ve devlet tarafından kırsal turizme sağlanan desteklerdir. Tehditler; İlin doğal yapısını bozan çarpık kentleşme, doğal alanların, tarihi ve kültürel varlıkların korunması konusunda yerel halkın yeterince bilgi sahibi olmamasıdır. Academic service quality in higher education is co-created by all participants of the educational process, including students. Word of mouth communication (WOM) in the education sector is among the main tools to assess the level of training services. In this context, the study investigates the relationship between the student role, academic service quality, word of mouth communication, and electronic word of mouth communication in higher education. The theoretical basis of the research is the principles of behavioural economics and service-dominant logic theory, in particular. Hypotheses were tested using the structural equation model. The research data collected using the questionnaire method were obtained from 164 students in the foreign language preparatory class at a state university in Kyrgyzstan. IBM SPSS AMOS 21 package program was used to test the structural relationships in the research model. The findings showed that student role positively affected academic service quality and WOM communication. In addition, it was concluded that academic service quality positively impacted word of mouth communication, which, in turn, affected electronic word of mouth communication. Among the directions of future research are studies with a larger sample and different research methods and designs used.
Adopting the relationship marketing approach in health institutions and evaluating the weights of its dimensions will benefit the effectiveness of marketing strategies. This study aimed to determine the critical levels of relationship marketing orientation components in private health institutions using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP). In the study, relationship marketing orientation was evaluated according to six criteria in line with the opinions of five experts for employees and 20 people who previously benefited from health services for their customers. As a result, the criterion with the highest priority value was communication with 0.259, and the best health company A. Furthermore, the AHP method results were compared with TOPSIS, EDAS, and CODAS methods. In addition, the Spearman Correlation method was used to determine the correlation between the results.
