A pesquisa teve por objetivo verificar qual é a percepção das acadêmicas de cursos predominantemente masculinos de uma Universidade situada no estado de Santa Catarina, em relação as diferenças entre gêneros e oportunidades no mercado de trabalho. Ao par da problemática de pesquisa, investigou-se a realidade de alguns cursos de graduação, sendo eles: Engenharia Mecânica, Engenharia Elétrica, Agronomia, Sistemas de Informação, Engenharia Civil e Engenharia de Controle e Automação, que são predominantemente masculinos. Para isso, aplicou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa, em que 46 acadêmicas mulheres responderam. Ao final, constatou-se que as acadêmicas dos cursos investigados, consideram que enfrentam preconceito relacionado ao mercado de trabalho. Já em relação ao ambiente acadêmico, a existência da diferenciação entre gêneros por parte de docentes ou colegas homens, é praticamente inexistente.Palavras-Chave: Profissões. Mulheres. Preconceito.
