This qualitative study analysed how aspects of critical consciousness in students played a role in the issue of sexual violence in a higher education institution. This research involved students, lecturers, and elements of higher education leaders of a university in Aceh, Indonesia. For the data collection method, the researchers used semi-structured interviews. The data was analysed using thematic analysis with the utilization of critical consciousness and student agency concept as the theoretical frameworks. This study found that aspects of critical consciousness played a significant role in dealing with sexual violence issues in university. Without critical consciousness, students would potentially err in analysing the issue of sexual violence. Aspects of students' critical consciousness were also influenced by the structure or discourse of higher education in viewing sexual violence. The tendency of campus to be more concerned with its good reputation also exacerbated the handling and prevention of sexual violence cases. The implication of this research is the finding that critical consciousness and institutional structure influence each other, both positively and negatively. To deal with sexual violence, a university must promote critical consciousness among students and academics, create pro survivors’ discourse and underpin students' agency, and most importantly, strive to cultivate gender equity perspective among university leaders. Future research should focus on investigating effective pedagogy to nurture critical consciousness for supporting the anti-sexual violence agenda in a higher education institution
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian beberapa dosis pupuk kompos terhadap tinggi batang, dan jumlah daun tanaman bayam. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan merupakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan lima perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Perlakuan yang dimaksud adalah sebagai berikut Po (tanpa pemberian pupuk), P1 (pemberian pupuk kompos dengan dosis 0.2 kg/9.8 kg tanah), P2 (pemberian pupuk kompos dengan dosis 0.4 kg/9.6 kg tanah), P3 (pemberian pupuk kompos dengan dosis 0.6 kg / 9.4 kg tanah), dan P4 (pemberian pupuk kompos dengan dosis 0.8 kg/9.2 kg tanah). Untuk pengumpulan data digunakan parameter pertumbuhan tinggi batang tanaman (cm), dan jumlah daun (lembar), dihitung semua jumlah daun yang berkembang pada setiap tanaman percobaan. Semua parameter ini diukur 25 hari setelah tanam. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diolah dengan “Uji Anava (Analisis Varian) pola rancangan Acak Lengkap” dengan menggunakan rumus linier Yij = µ + ti + e ij +Bj +Σ ij. Hasil penelitian pada masing-masing parameter, yaitu tinggi batang tanaman, dan jumlah lembaran daun tanaman, menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh pemberian pupuk kompos terhadap tinggi batang tanaman tidak berpengaruh nyata antara beberapa perlakuan (F-hitung F-tabel), namun terhadap parameter jumlah lembaran daun tanaman menunjukkan ada pengaruh nyata yang signifikan (F-hitung F-tabel ).
Tumbuhan ini sebagian besar tumbuh di perkarangan rumah atau kebun masyarakat di kawasan Pagar air Aceh Besar baik dibudidaya atau secara liar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan lokasi penelitiannya adalah seluruh perkarangan rumah dan kebun yang terdapat di Gampong Tanjong Pagar Air Aceh Besar, Pengambilan data dengan cara observasi di lapangan dan mencatat jenis tanaman berkhasiat obat serta wawancara dengan ibu rumah tangga cara penggunaan sebagai obat. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 16 jenis tanaman dari sub kelas Sympetaleae yang terdapat di perkampungan dan bermanfaat sebagai obat, 10 jenis ditemukan banyak tumbuh di areal perkarangan rumah masyarkat sedangkan 6 jenis lagi tumbuh dikebun masyarakat atau sebagai bunga/hiasan rumah. Adapun organ tanaman yang banyak dipakai untuk obat berupa, akar, batang, daun, kulit, buah, herba, rimpang, biji, getah, atau umbi sekalipunt. Berbagai macam khasiat dari jenis-jenis tanaman obat yang dijumpai dilokasi penelitian antara lain dapat menyembuhkan radang paru-paru, demam/ influenza, masuk angin, sebagai anti kanker, batuk rejan, bisul, radang saluran pernafasan, jerawat, batu saluran kencing, diare, rematik, tekanan darah tinggi, sakit perut, wasir, cacing keremi, beri-beri, sakit kunig, batuk berdahak, kudis, cacar air, radang tenggorokan, darah manis/gula, terlambat haid, ketombe, panu/kurap, asam lambung, diare dan meningkatkan nafsu makan serta penambah vitalitas untuk orang dewasa. Pada umumnya dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat tanpa efek samping dan biaya yang terjangkau kalangan warga miskin. Kata Kunci : Tanaman Obat, Sympetalae
One of the efforts to increase instructional effectiveness is by developing a meaningful learning strategy thought using concept mapping. The instructional objectives at school are not only to increase the academic achievement but also the ability and skill of the students in order to be able to understand the process of improving knowledge, attitude to the subject which is studied, and attitude to the environment, too. The instructional strategy with concept mapping is one of the alternatives that can provide the result of all aspects that are hoped to reach the instructional objectives. The concept mapping learning strategy signifies the students reorganize the new knowledge by inserting the concept into the net hierarchically and describe their connection in a diagram and combine it into a greater knowledge structure. The organizing of conceptual understanding well will aid the meaningfulness of students learning, so, the students are easier to understand the material of the lesson being studied.
