This study aimed at exploring the relationship between organizational justice and job satisfaction as perceived by Jordanian physical education teachers. Participants consisted of 166 physical education teachers selected from public schools in Jordan. Organizational Justice Scale and Job in General Scale were used to collect the data. The findings revealed that the majority of physical education teachers were satisfied with their job in general and their perceptions about organizational justice were positive. Furthermore, the findings showed a positive and significant relationship between all dimensions of organizational justice and teachers' job satisfaction. Interactional justice was the best predictor of teachers' job satisfaction followed by procedural justice and distributive justice respectively. The full prediction model explained 19% of the variance in job satisfaction of physical education teachers in Jordan.
This study aimed at identifying the prevailing somatotypes among students according to academic year for males and females, as well as the differences among the frequencies of those prevailing somatotypes. It also aimed at identifying the contribution rates for the somatotype components to the coordinate abilities. A sample of 286 students were chosen, 176 males and 110 females, from the students at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, using stratified random sample method. The results indicated that the Mesomorphic Endomorph somatotype was the prevailing one among males, whereas the Balanced Endomorph somatotype was the prevailing one among females. The results also indicated the existence of differences in the frequencies of somatotypes represented by the prevalence of the Mesomorphic Endomorph somatotype and its difference from the rest somatotypes for both males and females. The study revealed also that the Endomorph somatotype contributed effectively to constant balance and agility among males, whereas the Mesomorph and Ectomorph somatotypes contributed effectively to dynamic balance and agility among females. The researcher recommended the necessity for considering somatotypes when selecting students, who had the Mesomorph somatotype or the Mesomorph and Ectomorph one. He also recommended the necessity of benefiting from this study's results through informing those concerned to have their mechanism and take the required procedures in order to limit the spread of the Endomorph somatotype among students and improve the Mesomorph through certain training programs.
The purpose of this study is to determine the common patterns of brain dominance and the levels of the emotional intelligence of students, also the study aimed to recognize the variances of the common patterns as well as levels of the emotional intelligence according to the independent variables (gender, specialization, academic year), furthermore, the study identifies the variances of levels of the emotional intelligence among students according to the left, right and integrated dominance brain patterns. The Sample of study consisted of (329) male and female students who are chosen randomly from the faculty of physical education and sports science. The study used Othman and Rizk Emotional Intelligence Scale and Diane scale to measure the brain dominance after confirming its validity and reliability. The results of the study showed that the prevailing pattern among students was the integrated dominance brain patterns. Also, there was no significant effect of the independent variables (gender, specialization, academic year) on the left, right, and integrated dominance brain patterns. Moreover, high levels of emotional intelligence, the results appeared no effect of the dominance brain pattern in the emotional intelligence.
The objective of this study is to identify leadership styles and adaptability levels of (21) deans at three of Public Jordanian universities. LEAD Self-scale used in this study. To answer the questions of this study: (1) how do deans perceive their leadership styles? (2) what is the style adaptability level among deans? (3) Are there significant differences in deans’ perceptions of their leadership styles according to their disciplines, and experiences in current position? And (4) Are there significant differences in deans’ perceptions of their style adaptability levels according to their disciplines, and experiences in current position? Means, Standard Deviations, Frequencies, Percentages and 2 computed. With regard to leadership style, deans selected selling as their primary leadership style, and selected participating as their secondary style. Regarding style adaptability, deans indicate a pronounced primary leadership style with less flexibility into the secondary styles.
