The aim of the study was to make a comparison between the teaching methodologies employed by English language teachers at public and private sector schools at primary level. Foreign language teaching methodologies has become a much-discussed phenomena and has been given immense importance from the last few decades, however, it still needs development in teaching practices. The data for the present study were collected in the form of semi-structured interviews, which were related to the objectives and research questions. The target population of the study was primary level teachers of Lahore, Punjab (Pakistan), while the sample of the study was comprised of primary level teachers of a public and private sector school in Lahore. The results of the study indicated that the teachers of the public sector schools were mostly relying on the structural methods of language teaching, whereas the teachers of the private sector schools were using blended methods.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the challenges that English as a foreign language teachers face in teaching the English language to students with visual impairment. The data was collected through questionnaires from English language special education teachers who were teaching English at the secondary level. The research took place in Lahore, Pakistan, in special education classrooms. The target population of the study is English language teachers who are teaching visually impaired students in Lahore, Punjab. While the sample of the study was comprised of secondary level teachers of visually impaired students in Lahore. The findings of the study revealed that teachers were facing a number of problems in teaching visually impaired students, such as behavioral issues, less attention span, lack of motivation, lack of teaching materials, less family-supportive environment to do homework tasks etc.
The purpose of the current study was to look into the difficulties faced by ESL instructors while teaching students with vision disabilities. The data was gathered through interviews with secondary-level ESL special education teachers of the English language. In special education schools in Lahore, Pakistan, the study was conducted. The study's target audience is ESL teachers in Lahore, Punjab,who work with pupils who have vision disabilities. Teachers of visually impaired pupils in secondary schools in Lahore made up the study's sample. The findings of the study revealed that teachers were having numerous difficulties in teaching students with vision disabilities, such as behavioral concerns,lesser attention span, lack of motivation, shortage of teaching resources, less family-supportive atmosphere to accomplish homework chores etc.
