The engineering of building envelope aims is to achieve building energy efficiency which uses shading device to increase the shaded area. Also, to reduce heat gain by the building from solar radiation, this will reduce the energy load on the building. This paper aim to focuses on the deepening of technology of building envelope elements, and how the building envelope can control the thermal comfort as part of the indoor environment in a building that carries sustainability architecture. In conclusion, finally, reveal that the principles of passive design on building envelope have a great influence on the comfort level in the building. It is not possible to create a design that meets the thermal comfort requirements by emphasizing the design of building envelopes. The goal to be achieved in sustainable design is to minimize the use of the current design that takes much energy (almost14% world energy consumption) to address the issue of energy crisis lately.
<p><em>The background of the activity is to integrate the educational curriculum in the Interior Design Study Program, in this case is the Basic Design course, and the Creative Experiments course, with the National Curriculum program in elementary school. Training activities using used plastic bottle media and acrylic paints are training to make Nirmana Dwimatra or 2 dimensional Designs that utilize </em><em>used goods</em><em>. Activity Nirmana 2 Matra is application to design elements, ie point, line, plane, color, and texture which is processed by applying certain design principles, such as harmony (Harmony), Rhythm, repetition (Repetition), unity (Unity ), balance (balance), and other design principles. This training activity is intended to train and provide insight to children of primary school age, so that they can be inspired and able to innovate on the 2-dimensional works that they already know. Creativity and innovative work can be one way to generate motivation in conducting teaching and learning activities.</em><em> </em><em>Through the Community Service of the Faculty of Art and Design Tarumanagara University, lecturers can provide training to create 2-dimensional work, which in turn is expected to provide benefits to teachers and students to give birth to new works better and more innovative. 2-dimensional work processing skills are very useful in supporting teaching and learning activities tailored to the needs of the National Curriculum materials, such as the work of color composition and the work of processing the form. Masalah umum pada ruang pameran tetap di museum adalah sunyi saat pengunjung sepi dan gaduh saat pengunjung ramai. Suasana yang sangat sunyi akan membuat suasana mencekam dalam ruang pameran tetap. Sebaliknya, suasana gaduh akan membuat pengunjung tidak nyaman selama berada dalam ruang pameran tetap. Adapun ambang batas Kuat suara <20 dB dalam suatu ruangan termasuk sunyi, susana ruangan akan terasa mencekam. Namun bila kuat suara dalam suatu ruangan melebihi 85 dB, maka kondisi suara dalam ruangan tersebut termasuk bising. Kondisi ruangan yang sunyi dan kondisi ruangan yang bising, akan tidak nyaman secara audio untuk manusia beraktivitas didalam ruangan tersebut. Untuk mengetahui rata-rata kuat suara didalam ruang pameran tetap Museum Nasional Indonesia, penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur yang Sound Level Meter, sebagai alat utamanya. Dan menggunakan alat bantu penelitian berupa Laser Length Meter untuk mengukur jarak sumber suaranya. Hasil perekaman dan pengukuran dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan standar kenyamanan audio. Hasil penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan data akustik yang berkaitan dengan kualitas suara, material pembentuk ruang yang mempengaruhi akustik, serta data perlengkapan audio yang dimiliki oleh Museum XY. Pada penelitian ini juga diperlukan data tingkat kepadatan pengunjung pada Ruang Pameran Tetap yang berpotensi besar terhadap tingkat kebisingan. Dengan mengetahui kondisi tersebut maka dapat dijadikan acuan nantinya dalam penataan ruang pameran tetap museum.
