Orientation research on the study of the strengths of the person, as opposed to traditional studies, paying more attention to weaknesses personality, contributed to the formation and expansion of scientific interest in the issues of human well-being in the workplace and in everyday life. This article discusses the concept of «subjective wellbeing», the concept of «job satisfaction». The method for the determination of industrial environmental factors that have a positive or negative impact on the well-being in the workplace, based on the principles of cognitive approach has been proposed. The article shows that testing of this methodology in the survey of employees of several enterprises (definition of personal constructs workers, and data processing methods of factor analysis) reveals the mental structures. They are formed in the minds of workers under the influence of external stimuli (reconstruct their perceptions of reality). The study confirmed the sensitivity of the technique to a system of subjective perceptions of the individual. The article proposes a new direction of research, by the term "world of work". The article discusses the distinction between traditional definitions of research in the field of employment and the concept of the "world of work".
The factors that affect the well-being of working pensioners are investigated in the article. We have not used as a data source the traditional methods of obtaining information from respondents (survey results or interviews). However, we have used the data presented in the social networks. The type of analyzed data is qualitative, it limited us in the choice of methods of analysis. On the other hand, the using of non-classical source of social information stimulated us to search the ways in order to improve the technology of working with such a data array as an important independent research problem. An adequate method must identify a system of subjective perceptions of a particular individual, but not to impose it from the outside. This encouraged us to use the tools of content analysis' methods and multidimensional scaling data in the research process. The results of multidimensional scaling allowed us to find the major groups of the problems dominant in the minds of working pensioners. In addition, it was proposed the approach in the article, that could solve the problem of retrieving and analyzing the information that is circulating in the social networks, it also allowed us to expand the opportunities for triangulation of data (the using various types of information sources during the research of one phenomena). This approach will enhance the objectivity of scientific results.
In the crisis period among the enterprises there are consistent price rises -primarily on resources and then on the end product. Increase in costs on production aggravates the problem of the enterprise survival on the market and heightens the necessity to optimize them. Cost reduction on staff, conducted in the traditional way, which is often a main cost ratio of the enterprise, leads to staff wellbeing reduction. That is why it is necessary to use an effective alternative -cost management. Cost management is considered as an integrated enterprise activity aimed to optimize its own costs with minimal losses. The cost classification used in lean production is described, as well as several cost optimization techniques are illustrated by describing the real experience of the Japanese company "Toyota". The experiment of introducing selected tools of lean production in the hotel-type dormitory No. 5 of the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University is described. As a result of the project the 5S system was implemented at the maid's workplace and in the room. The most optimum alternative of maid's movement in the room while cleaning is visualized in spaghetti diagram. Time losses reduction allows creating cost-effective value for customers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
