Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat siswa terutama pada minat membaca. Media pembelajarannya menggunakan media big book. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media big book terhadap minat membaca siswa sekolah dasar kelas II SDIT Cendekia, karena saat melakukan observasi di sekolah tersebut tidak semua siswanya mempunyai minat membaca yang tinggi dan kurangnya media pembelajaran yang menarik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas II SDIT Cendekia yang berjumlah 26 siswa terdiri dari 15 siswa perempuan dan 12 siswa laki-laki. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, kuesioner/angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan media big book dikatakan berhasil diterapkan di kelas rendah untuk menumbuhkan minat membaca. Dari hasil penilitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media big book dapat menumbuhkan minat membaca siswa di sekolah dasar kelas II SDIT Cendekia Purwakarta.
This study aims to determine the effect of student’s of Cengkong IV Elementary School Purwasari Distric. This research is a type of quantitative research. The population used in this student were all students of Cengkong IV Elementary School with a total of 150. By taking a sample of 25% of the population members, a sample of 40 people was obtained. The technique of collecting data through student confidence questionnaires with student’s speaking skills using the role playing method. Data analysis techniques to test hypotheses are done by calculating inferensial statistics. The results of the test of the validity of the confidence questionnaire obtained 22 items of instrument statements which were validly stated from the 46 statments of the instruments being tested.
Pandemi COVID-19 yang bermula di Wuhan, Tiongkok, telah menyebar ke 219 negara di dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan oleh pemerintan Indonesia dalam pencegahan dan penanggulangannya. Salah satu lembaga yang berperan penting dalam upaya pencegahan dan penanggulangan penyebaran COVID-19 ini adalah Perguruan Tinggi. Melalui kegiatan KKN tematik, tim pengabdian melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Siluman Kec. Pabuaran Kab. Subang. Sebelum pelaksanaan KKN tematik diawali dengan melakukan survey awal di lapangan. Setelah itu kemudian ada beberapa permasalahan yang ditemukan yaitu masih minimnya perhatian terkait protokol kesehatan seperti kurangnya kesadaran penggunaan masker dan masih kurangnya kesadaran menjaga lingkungan bersih. Metode pelaksanaan melalui sosialisasi kepada Desa dan tokoh masyarakat, membantu pendataan warga dan pengembangan dalam bidang pendidikan dan sosial. Hasil pengabdian ini mampu menghasilkan hubungan harmonis antara Tim KKN dan warga Desa Siluman dengan tercapainya beberapa program seperti mahasiswa mampu mengembangkan kualitas pembelajaran sebagai sarana program merdeka belajar, ikut kegiatan gotong royong, mengikuti kegiatan keagamaan, pemberian alat kesehatan, mengembangkan program kegiatan hidup sehat dan lingkungan bersih berupa kegiatan senam sehat dan lain sebagainya. Implikasi dari kegiatan KKN ini mampu berkontribusi bersama dalam kepedulian menjaga kesehatan masyarakat sehingga lebih bersinergi dalam mewujudkan masyarakat yang sehat, mandiri, unggul serta dinamis.
In learning to write at school, especially at SMKN I Binong based on the results of interviews and observations that have been carried out, it shows the low writing ability of students because students pay less attention to cohesion and coherence in paragraphs. This research was obtained from one class, namely class XI which was used as the experimental class. Data were obtained from 9 students to write explanatory texts and the results of interviews with Indonesian language teachers. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the formula for finding the average score, normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis testing, and N-Gain test. The results of the students' pretest in learning to write explanatory texts before using the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) method were still very less than the data on the entire object found. The lowest score is 40, the highest score is 80, and students get an average score of 63.33 for writing explanatory text, the score is said to be very low. Because the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) in schools is 70. The results of the posttest in writing explanatory texts the lowest score is 60, the highest score is 90, and the average posttest in the experimental class is 74.44. The improvement of explanatory text writing skills using the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) method has been proven by researchers to improve learning to write explanatory texts. The STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) method makes the learning atmosphere in the classroom more active in asking questions, is conducive, collaboration between students, solving problems, and can make it easier for students when retelling an incident so as to produce better explanatory text writing results.
