The ammonia substance produced from chicken manure causes cage odor in broiler farms. Ammonia that is left in the cage greatly affects to the growth and development of broilers. Ammonia levels in the coop should not be more than 5 ppm because it can cause irritation to the eye mucosa and respiratory tract of chickens. The main component of this tool is MQ135 Ammonia Sensor which functions to measure the level of ammonia in the cage, DS18B20 Temperature Sensor functions to measure the air temperature in the cage, L298N Motor Driver is used as an axial fan motor speed controller based on the response of the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller, Arduino Uno functions as the main control in the working system of this tool and Node MCU functions to connect to the internet which will later be connected to Blynk App via a Smartphone. From the test results of axial fan motor rotational speed, the PID parameter value is obtained using the Trial Error method with a value ofKp = 1.0 Ki = 0.0005 and Kd = 0.001 which is able to stabilize the PID output results at setpoint 0.
The proposed electric bike is driven by using a 24V350WDC motor and VRLA 24V battery as a source of voltage. Input point settings are done by pressing the speed control button in the form of digital data, which is then converted to voltage by the microcontroller. The output of the microcontroller in the form of a PWM becomes input for the motor driver, where the output speed of the motor will be detected by the speed sensor. The automation used is the PI method using the Zeigler Nichols 2 tuning formula. The control method using PI had been analyzed and tested, resulting in Kp=3.37 and Ki=0.73. The electric bike has been tested with different loads. The proposed electric bike was successfully controlled and able to be driven with a minimum speed of 5km/h and a maximum speed of 20km/h.
Dalam industri banyak dibutuhkan sistem kendali pengukuran aliran fluida. Penentuan kuantitas air menjadi berkurang karena volume air pada tangki penampungan bervariasi serta proses monitoring secara manual menyebabkan efisiensi waktu juga berkurang. Upaya untuk mengatasi masalah ini dibuat sistem kontrol kecepatan aliran keluaran air menggunakan metode PID dan dilengkapi sistem monitoring dengan IoT. Sistem ini menggunakan Raspberry pi 3 sebagai mini komputer, sensor aliran sebagai pendeteksi kecepatan air, electric ball valve sebagai actuator dan website digunakan sebagai media monitoring. Prinsip kerja alat ini yaitu menstabilkan kecepatan keluaran air permenit pada set point yang telah ditentukan. Berdasarkan pengujian menggunakan metode Zieger – Nichlos I diperoleh respon sistem yang baik pada electric ball valve yaitu Kp= 0,95; Ki= 108; Kd= 27. Pada saat set point 3 liter permenit dengan pengambilan data selama 5 menit didapatkan respon dengan nilai rise time (ts) sebesar 50s, peak time (tp) 110s, percent overshoot (PO) 0.5%, error setady state 0.2% dan setling times 130s. Hasil dari pembacaan sensor aliran, pengoprasian alat dan pengaturan nilai set point dapat di lakukan melalui web site.
One of the problems faced by small-scale broiler cultivators in Pucangsongo-Malang was the use of PLN electricity that exceeds the installed capacity. Partners feel it was too expensive to raise the power capacity. To overcome the problem, timing settings to power the equipment is needed. The cage-smell’ problem needs to be handled because the cage-locations are in settlement. The purpose of this activity was helping partners to increase productivity by helping solve problems from production aspects, as well as the safety. The implementation method was providing appropriate science and technology to partners in the form of electricity utilization management equipped with a cage monitoring system. In addition, it also developed a backup power source safety system that works when the electricity goes off to keep the cage remain conducive. Prior this activity, the cage-capacity was 3300 with an average death of 200 chickens. Currently, the cage-capacity increased to 3500 chickens with deaths down to 110 chickens. With the developed and installed electric power management equipped with monitoring system of cage condition, broiler cultivators in Pucangsongo-Malang can monitor the cage’s state at any time and power shortage problem can be resolved.
