The authors have shown the effective use of synthesized epoxidized rubber s ee d oil as a modifier of epoxy com pound materials. It was stated that at the content of epoxidized rubber s ee d oil of 10 weight parts for 100 weight parts of epoxy resin ED-20, hardness and wear have been increased by 34 and 21% correspondingly, while the frictional coefficient was being reduced by a factor of 1.5 . Wollastonite has been synthesized on the base of rice husk and limestone. By means of the X-ray diffraction method, it was proven that the specimen of synthesized calcium silicate with the molar ratio СаСО 3 :SiO 2 = 1. 2:1 is characterized by the structure closest to the naturally occurring wollastonite.
Simultaneous heart and kidney transplantation is quite a popular type of multiorgan transplant in the world, considered an optimum treatment for end stage cardiorenal syndrome. This report presents first successful simultaneous heart-kidney transplant in Vietnam. A 37-year-old male patient with 10 years of chronic disease: end-stage heart failure due to dilated cardiomyopathy with 15-25% of left ventricular systolic function, and renal failure due to IgA nephropathy completely depended on dialysis. The patient underwent a simultaneous heart-kidney transplant from a brain-dead multiorgan donor on February 15, 2023 at Viet Duc University hospital. He had quick recovery of all cardiac and renal functions on 5 days afters transplant. This is the 2nd successful case of multiorgan transplant at Viet Duc hospital, but the first heart-kidney transplantation.
Plant oils are regarded as relatively cheap renewable and sustainable raw materials that could be efficiently used for manufacturing of glues, coatings, flooring and other materials. Among the plant oils, rubber seed oil (RSO) is of particular interest as it contains the large amount of free fatty acids. development of new innovative cost-effective technologies for processing renewable agricultural products of plant origin is of acute practical importance as they are considered as advanced sustainable raw materials for manufacturing the products of “green” chemistry. According to the literature review, free fatty acids could enhance performance of polymer composite materials, in particular, on the base of epoxy polymers. Having applied the methods of infrared spectroscopy and titrimetry, the authors identified the absence of chemical interaction between epoxy resin and rubber seed oil at room temperature. Having used the data of differential scanning calorimetry, it was stated that epoxy resins react with rubber seed oil at elevated temperatures.
Epoxy coatings while in-service are regularly exposed to various atmospheric factors including elevated temperature, moisture, solar irradiation, precipitation, fog and others. Those factors accelerate the processes of oxidative and photochemical degradation of epoxy materials which could significantly affect their service life. In the present paper the study of resistance of epoxy materials to climatic factors was carried out in the Artificial weather apparatus simulating external environmental activities by cycles of accelerated tests. It was proven that various types of modifiers exercise influence upon the mass growth of epoxy materials and consequently their sorptive processes. The analysis of investigated results has shown that in epoxy polymer exposed to moisture one could observe competing processes of the growth of cross-linking degree and its plasticization. It was stated that no exact correlation is observed between the degree of cross-linking of epoxy materials and their water fastness and resistance to climatic factors. The authors have proven that outside resistance of epoxy coatings is higher for epoxy compositions modified by soy oil and its functionalized derivatives. Epoxy compositions modified by rubber seed oil exhibited the maximum structural change caused by the impact of climatic factors.
In 2018, the Ministry of Health issued Decision No.7482/QD-BYT to improve surgical safety in hospitals. This study was conducted with the aim of describing the surgical safety status at the Hanoi Central Hospital of Odonto –stomatology National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in 2022 based on the guidelines of the above decision. Method: this study used cross-sectional description, quantitative method. The period time was from January 2022 to November 2022 at Hanoi central hospital of Odonto Stomatology. The sample size was 112 surgeries and related health staffs and documents. The study used a checklist to assess the safety level, classified according to Decision No.7482/QD-BYT. Collected data were entered using SPSS 25.0 software to analyse frequency and mean. Results: the hospital scored a safety level of 94,5/110, reaching level 4 - ensured surgical safety. There were 3 of 8 criteria obtainded total pass, 5 of 8 criteria obtained partial pass, criterion 4 had the lowest rate of surgery meet its requirements (72.3%). 54 of 67 sub-items were assessed as passing, 08 of 67 sub-items were assessed as partial pass, and 05 of 67 sub-items failed. Since then, solutions for staff training, supervision, and medical equipment supply were provided to improve surgical safety at the hospital. Keywords: Surgical safety, hospital, 7482/QD-BYT, safety level, criteria.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
