Abstrak Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sifat kimia tanah pada lahan penambangan terbuka batu gamping milik CV. Thiakh yang terletak di distrik Jayapura Selatan kota Jayapura provinsi Papua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian eksperimental dengan tiga tahapan. Tahapan pertama yaitu observasi lokasi penelitian pada lahan penambangan, tahapan kedua adalah pengambilan material tanah sebagai sampel. Tahapan yang ketiga adalah analisis sampel yang dilakukan di laboratorium Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Teknologi Mineral dan Batubara Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral Republik Indonesia. Sampel tanah diambil pada dua lokasi dengan tiga kedalaman yang berbeda. Lokasi pertama diambil dekat dengan bengkel yang berada pada lokasi penambangan. Kedalaman tanah pada lokasi yang pertama adalah 15 cm dan 30 cm. Lokasi kedua di ambil di daerah penambangan batu gamping dengan kedalaman 50 cm. Dari hasil uji laboratorium diketahui bahwa nilai pH tanah pada lokasi pertama adalah 8,86. Sedangkan nilai pH pada lokasi kedua adalah 9,18 (30 cm) dan 8,47 (50 cm). Untuk beberapa parameter kimia lainnya seperti phospor, kalium, natrium, magnesium, nitrogen total juga memiliki kadar yang rendah. Kata kunci : Penambangan Terbuka, Batu Gamping, Sifat Kimia Tanah, Material Tanah,pH Abstract The purpose of this study was determine the chemical properties of the soil in the limestone open pie mining owned by CV Thiak is located in the South Jayapura district Jayapura city, Papua province. The research method used in this study is an experimental research method with three stages. The first stage is observing the research location on mining land, the second stage is taking soil material as a sample. The third stage is sample analysis carried out in the laboratory of the Research and Development Agency for Energy and Mineral Resources, the Center for Research and Development of Mineral and Coal Technology, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia. Soil samples were taken at two locations with three different depths. The first location was taken close to the workshop at the mining site. The depth of the soil at the first location is 15 cm and 30 cm. The second location was taken in a limestone mining area with a depth of 50 cm. from the results of laboratory test it is known that the soil pH value at the first location is 8,86. While the pH values at the second location were 9,18 (30 cm) and 8,47 (50 cm). For several other chemical parameters such as phosporus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, total nitrogen also has low levels. Kampung Doyo Baru merupakan salah satu kampung yang berada pada distrik Waibu kabupaten Jayapura dengan luas wilayah sebesar ±24.626,24 hektar. Sehingga, dengan wilayah yang cukup besar tersebut maka sangat diperlukan sarana informasi berupa peta yang dapat digunakan sebagai penunjang dalam peyelenggaraan pemerintahan pada kampung Doyo Baru. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah melakukan pemetaan pada wilayah kampung Doyo Baru khususnya wilayah RT 1 dan RT 2 di RW 3. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, persiapan, pemetaan, proses pembuatan peta serta penyerahan peta kepada perangkat pemerintahan kampung Doyo Baru. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yang dilakukan pada RT 1 dan RT 2 di wilayah RW 3 ini menghasilkan dua peta yaitu peta batas wilayah dan peta topografi. Kedua jenis peta ini berfungsi sebagai sarana informasi mengenai batas wilayah,bangunan, lahan, drainase sarana dan prasarana, dan lain-lain. Batas wilayah merupakan salah satu unsur peta dilakukan secara detail guna menghindari terjadinya konflik akibat batas wilayah. Pembuatan peta topografi dilakukan dengan pengukukuran langsung menggungakan alat ukur berupa sebuah theodolite, GPS (Globakl Position System) dan ompas geologi. Limestone mining owned by CV Thiak, which is located in the Ardipura II Jayapura city, has been operating for a long time. However, the utilization of limestone is only used as a mixed material in construction such as offices, schools, brdges and others. One sample of the use og limestone is a raw material for making cement. This study aims to determine the chemical content of limestone belonging to CV Thiak so that it can also be used as a raw material for making cement. The research stage is at the beginning with initial of reaserch location and mapping to determine the coordinates of the sampling location. Samples were taken at two different locations. Next, the stage of taking limestone as a sample for testing. The next stage is the description of the limestone to determine of type of limestone. The stage of sending limestone samples to the Mineral Engineering Laboratory in Bandung city to determine the chemical content contained in the sample. The last stage is the analysis of chemical parameters as data from laboratory test using the X-Ray Fluoresence method. Some of the chemical parameters analyzed were CaCO3, CaO, MgO, Al2O3, Fe2O3 and SiO2. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the two limestone sample belonging to CV Thiak have very high CaCO3 content. The CaCO3 at the first point has a level of 98,78 %. Meanwhile, the sample at the second point has a CaCO3 content of 98,38 %. For levels of CaO, the first point is 55,35 % and the second point is 55,13 %. By looking at the value of the content of CaCO3 and CaO, the quality of CV Thiak’s limestone is very good and meets the standars as cement raw materials, according to Portland cement standards
