_______________________________________________________ RESUMOO setor magistral teve um crescimento expansivo nos últimos anos no Brasil. O menor preço do medicamento manipulado é o fator que mais contribuiu para esse crescimento. A verificação da qualidade dos medicamentos manipulados é de suma importância, e tem como finalidade, avaliar a eficácia do sistema de qualidade e detectar possíveis não conformidades que podem acarretar riscos para a saúde do paciente. Neste trabalho foram analisadas amostras de fluoxetina comercializadas em três farmácias de Montes Claros-MG. Para cada farmácia foram adquiridos três lotes do medicamento e realizados os testes de peso médio, desintegração, dissolução e determinação de teor. As farmácias A e B foram aprovadas em todos os testes, já a farmácia C teve reprovação do lote 2 e 3 para o teste de determinação de teor. Em conclusão, os resultados confirmam a necessidade de ações mais eficientes pelas autoridades do sistema público de saúde para possibilitar a garantia da qualidade dos medicamentos manipulados. The lower price of the manipulated medicament is the factor that contributed most to this growth. The verification of the quality of the medicaments manipulated is of paramount importance, and its purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness of the quality system and to detect possible nonconformities that may entail risks to the health of the patient. In this study, samples of fluoxetine marketed in three pharmacies in Montes Claros-MG were analyzed. For each pharmacy three batches of the drug were purchased and the tests of average weight, disintegration, dissolution and determination of content were performed. Pharmacies A and B were approved for all tests, while pharmacy C had failed lot 2 and 3 for the content determination test. In conclusion, the results confirm the need for more efficient actions by the authorities of the public health system in order to guarantee the quality of the medicines handled.
