The growth of Cu 2 O crystallites electrodeposited in a nitrate bath with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) under superimposition of a high magnetic field up to 12 T was investigated. Scanning electron micrographs show that the morphology of the crystallite changes from a starlike shape to a well-faceted octahedron with magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) convection. The magnetic field modifies the branching growth of Cu 2 O microcrystals.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
