Physical activity is essential for health protection and disease prevention. However, university students are more willing to spend more time studying than participating. Research has shown in recent years that barriers lead to the lack of young adults' involvement in physical activity. This paper mainly aims to investigate differences in attributes towards the engagement of students in physical activity. A cross-sectional survey of undergraduate students was carried out at selected faculties. A self-administered questionnaire was constructed from established questionnaire. There were 28 elements to be evaluated at this point under internal and external attributes. A questionnaire was created, asking respondents to rate on a 5-point scale the attributes that affect physical activities. A total of 361 respondents was valid for data analysis with 72.6% females and 27.4% (99) males. Comparison analysis was then used to examine the differences in mean scores between active and less respondents. Both external and internal barriers in physical activity were found statistically significant difference in mean scores. External barriers in physical activity were higher values of mean score compared to internal barriers. Lack of time due to social and family responsibilities was considered as most important barriers in physical activity. Future research at large scale and targeting other population are needed to help nation achieved SDGs 2030 concerning improving healthy lifestyle and promote well-being for all at all ages.
Healthcare service quality has been extensively studied over the past few decades. However, the topic remains imperative as it is the main contributor to patients’ satisfaction. It is considered as the yardstick to examine the desired service level that should be delivered to patients. Due to its importance, research was initiated to examine the influence of healthcare service quality on patients’ satisfaction by looking at the moderating effect of trust. The study was conducted in UiTM Selangor, Malaysia, involving 1,894 respondents who have experienced using the healthcare service provided by the institution. Based on the multiple regression analysis, all dimensions of healthcare service quality, namely reliability, assurance, tangibles, empathy and responsiveness, are significant to influence satisfaction and behavioural intention of patients. For satisfaction, trust moderates the relationship between empathy and satisfaction. For behavioural intention, trust moderates the relationship between tangibles and behavioural intention and the relationship between empathy and behavioural intention. The implications of the study are highlighted in this article.
Medical coding is a subject in which students must assign proper ICD-10 codes to patients’ diagnoses as reported in the coding exercises. However, due to students’ inadequate knowledge, incorrect codes are assigned to the cases, leading to coding errors. Thus, creating Medical Coding Simulation (MedCoS) is to help students strengthen their motor and technical abilities in challenging scenarios. The purpose of this study is to predict students’ intention to use MedCoS based on attitudes (AT), subjective norms (SN), and perceived behavioral control (PBC). To meet the objective, SPSS was used to conduct descriptive, reliability, and multiple regression analyses. This study includes students in Semester five and six who have attended both courses. Majority respondents were female (89.9%, n=116) and aged between 23 and 24 years old (90.2%, n=102). Results showed that attitudes and perceived behavioral predicted the intention to use MedCos among the students. The significant outcome allows MedCoS to plan the next stage of the application’s development with the goal of achieving the desired improvement in course performance.
Physical activity is defined as any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure. Lack of regular physical activity at young age able to increase the risk to get cardiovascular disease, cancer, and osteoporosis later in life. The physical activity index among Malaysian teens revealed that they were more active than the rest of the ages at the age of 21. However, at 22 years of age and above, these young people attempt to decrease their PA, and at this age, most of them are university students. Therefore, the objective of this study is mainly to examine differences in internal and external attributes between active and inactive participation in physical activity among female students. A crosssectional study was conducted using convenience sampling technique. Students completed a questionnaire focusing on the barriers in physical activity. Comparison analysis was then used to examine the differences in mean scores between active and less active respondents. Both external and internal barriers in physical activity were found statistically significant difference in mean scores. External barriers in physical activity were higher values of mean score compared to internal barriers. Lack of time due to social and family responsibilities was considered as most important barriers in physical activity. Future research at large scale and targeting other population are needed in order to help nation achieved SDGs 2030 goal 3 by improving healthy lifestyle and promote well-being for all at all ages.
The eradication of poverty is a national development objective designed to alleviate economic imbalances. Inaccuracies in defining the most effective strategies for eradicating poverty will lead to the development of unsuccessful policies and programmes. In Malaysia, zakat institutions contribute to the endeavour by distributing zakat funds to the poor and needy. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to investigate the ways of measuring poverty utilised by zakat institutions in Malaysia. This qualitative study was conducted using methodologies for data gathering and analysis. The methods of data collection were discovered through library study. The gathered data were evaluated using inductive, deductive, and comparative methodologies in order to provide results. According to the
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
