This paper sought to adopt the factors that motivate and sustain the teacher’s interest in the teaching profession. This is as a result of a vivid nonchalant attitude exhibited by some of the Nigeria teachers. First, the effect of irregular payment of teachers’ salaries has cause an alarm for the performance of teachers in work. Again, the inadequate promotion of teachers has negative impact in discharging their duties effectively and efficiently, thus this leads to teachers’ low standard of living and sometimes abandons the teaching profession and they look for better paid job. The negligent of teachers’ welfare affect their service and it is cause by the attitude of all that are concern in the school as government the school administrators, school heads even the society at large who does not encourage teachers to put in their best. With these, the researchers adopt expository and descriptive method in carrying out this work. The authors recommend that school heads should make use of correct motivation strategies such as attitude motivation and recognition. Also autocratic/dictatorship leadership style should be discouraged. Again, society should respect and recognize teachers’ position in nation building equally communities should see the school as an institution that inculcate into individual society’s value and norms and see it a responsibility to donate its welfare.
Abstract-Many households in Enugu depend on water sourced from municipal water system for domestic use, especially for drinking purposes. Unfortunately, this source is not safe enough for drinking primarily due to poor water distribution network. As water travels from the Point of Treatment (POT) to the Point of Use (POU), it comes in contact with numerous contaminants via broken and rusty pipes. This study proposes a system that reduces or totally eliminates pollutants from domestic water at the point where it is used. . By channelling water through a system of activated carbon filter, these pollutants are removed at POU. The system is made-up of a reservoir, filter and dispenser subsystems. Water enters the reservoir from the POT and from where the filter is fed. The output Water from the filter enters another reservoir from where it is dispensed. These processes of storage, treatment and dispensing are fully automated using a microcontroller chip to ensure efficiency and convenience. This study will be beneficial to the Ministry of water resources and the general public.
This paper sought to find out whether COVID 19 is as a result of natural evil, human evil or both. The researchers adopt an expository method in carrying out this work. Viruses have been around in the world long as life itself. We can confidently say that life as we know it would not exist without viruses. Viruses do leave “fossils” in the Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA)-the hereditary material in humans and of other organisms, from which their history can be reconstructed. It is as a result of this that the researchers posit that COVID 19 is neither natural evil nor human evil. The researchers conclude that the issue of COVID 19 outbreak ravaging the earth has a sufficient reason. But sometimes our emotions blind us from seeing the reason but solely the event.
This paper posits that the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic is a threat to the Nigerian educational system. The global lockdown of education institutions as a result of Covid 19 outbreak is causing a major interruption in students’ learning, disruptions in the assessments of student performance, and cancellation/postponement of exams. The researchers adopt the expository method in carrying out this work. The researchers conclude that effort should be made in educating citizens in an intercontinental world. This will make the successful people in the coming decades to understand this interrelatedness and navigate boundaries to leverage their differences and work globally in a collaborative way.
This paper sought to posit that religious manipulation is a threat to societal development in Nigeria. The researcher adopts descriptive method. Nigeria today has been known with a lot of diversity of belief which in one way or the other has a negative impact to the societal development. It is noticed that the diversity of religious practices in Nigeria is the outcome of manipulation. For a society to develop, tolerance is at times its fulcrum. The author concludes that intolerance and insurgency is as a result of religious manipulation. Which was as a result of poor checkmating of religious belief in Nigeria and to curtail it before it reaches to the worst stage. However, this paper recommends that in order to control this perilous act, there is a need for Nigeria to emulate on how to treat people irrespective of religion. And enhance peace education in Africa.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
