Tujuan kajian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan tentang peran toko online (online shop) untuk tingkat pemula bagi UMKM yang belum memiliki toko online atau memiliki kendala dalam memasarkan produknya melalui media online di kawasan pasar tradisional Klewer Surakarta. Metode penelitian adalah studi literatur, observasi dan wawancara. Observasi dilakukan pada proses jual beli antara pemilik usaha dengan calon pembeli sehingga dapat diketahui sejauh mana kekurangan dan kelebihan pemilik usaha dalam melayani calon pembeli. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kolaboratif, antara UMKM dan tim peneliti secara kolaboratif bersama-sama saling mewujudkan program pelatihan pengembangan dan pengelolaan website toko online sebagai strategi dalam menghadapi persaingan pasar. Pelatihan pengelolaan website toko online bagi UMKM sangat dibutuhkan dalam menunjang pemasaran produk di kawasan pasar tradisional Klewer Surakarta. Dengan cara tersebut pemilik usaha memiliki pengetahuan baru mengenai teknologi informasi khususnya dalam mengelola website toko online sebagai salah satu media pemasaran. Dengan memiliki website toko online, akan dapat menekan biaya promosi yang biasanya menggunakan media promosi cetak, seperti: brosur, katalog, iklan majalah dan lain-lain yang membutuhkan biaya yang tinggi. Selain itu toko online memiliki jangkauan yang luas untuk menjangkau calon pembeli. Adanya website toko online akan membantu pengembangan pemasaran usaha dan dapat meningkatkan penjualan.
Inovasi pembelajaran merupakan salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Video pembelajaran merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yang fleksibel dan mendukung pembelajaran luring dan daring. Guru perlu menguasai pengetahuan dan kompetensi dalam memproduksi media ajar yang efektif dan menarik perhatian siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Salah satu teknologi yang digunakan untuk membuat video ajar yang menarik adalah menggunakan teknik green screen yang sudah lazim digunakan di dunia perfilman. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat oleh Dosen S1 Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV), Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain (FSRD), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) yang tergabung dalam Grup Riset Desain dan Media Baru, bertujuan untuk mengadakan “Pelatihan Pembuatan Video Ajar Berbasis Green Screen Untuk Guru SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Gemolong, Kabupaten Sragen, Jawa Tengah”. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini diharapkan Guru SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Gemolong memiliki wawasan tentang perkembangan dunia videografi serta pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam bidang videografi khusunya tentang teknik green screensebagai pendukung pembuatan video pembelajaran.
Phonogram is a visual element in comics that represents the existence of sound. Together with picture elements, they both create a construction that is governed by a narrative. As a manifestation of sound, phonogram’s existence also delivers a message in the form of signs. By using a semiotic approach, this study seeks to identify the nature of the phonogram, its function, and the way it is produced and perceived. Symbolic messages are created to dramatize comics. Because of phonogram’s nature that imitates stereotypes in the real world, comic artists lead the reader to agree on the false reality presented in comic works. Phonogram’s creation requires two step interpretations, namely interpretation of sound and interpretation of visualization. The form of expression on the phonogram is not universal, because it refers to certain cultural stereotypes.
The objective of research was to describe the use of Pandawapaper toysas the implementation of PAIKEM (Pembelajaran Aktif, Inovatif, Kreatif, EfektifdanMenyenangkan) (English: Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective and Joyful Learning) media in introducing local character for establishing positive personality values to Elementary School-age children in Surakarta City and to improve Elementary School-age children's understanding on Pandawa local character. The research method employed was action research design. The subject of research was students of SekolahDasarMuhammadiyah 1 Ketelan Surakarta (the 1 st Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Ketelan, Surakarta). This research employed subjective test, interview, and observation as the techniques of collecting data. The observation data was obtained by means of collecting data during learning process to find out the students' activity in organizing Pandawa paper toys pattern grids, observing and listening to class teacher and author's explanation, and students' story telling about Pandawa character by means of presentation before the class. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative analysis, consisting of data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion/verification. From the result of data analysis, the following conclusions could be drawn. (1) Elementary School-age students can identify Pandawa character by means of organizing paper toys pattern grid into 3D Pandawa visualpaper toys. Thereafter, the students listened to the class teacher and author's explanation about Pandawa character. Teacher and author's explanation was given using Pandawa paper toys as visual aid to delivery message; then evaluation was conducted to find out whether or notthe use of paper toyswas effective in introducing Pandawa local character to Elementary School students by means of (2) students retelling the Pandawa character through presentation before the class. Most students could retell well the names and characters of Pandawa with paper toys visual aid. It is because the paper toys figure created visualized physical characters and weapons of individual Pandawa characters, thereby it was easy to identify and to remember the description of their character.
