Optimal development in all aspects will determine the child's future success. Parenting and education patterns carried out by parents, teachers and the environment will affect the quality of children. Without neglecting other aspects, cognitive development becomes an important focus in addition to physical development in childhood. If in learning, learning styles and how the delivery of material by the teacher is adjusted to what is desired by the students it will have a good impact on student learning outcomes. When the teacher has adjusted to the learning styles of each student, learning will be more easily absorbed absorbed and learning outcomes will be maximized. The success of students in capturing information or knowledge delivered by the teacher is determined by the readiness of the brain to capture the information or knowledge, if the brain is not ready, the learning process will never occur. Learning that uses a neuroscience perspective involves the formation and strengthening of connections and neural networks, which strengthens the relationship between the characteristics of learning styles with the improvement of students' metacognition skills.
A dynamic and very rapid change of time can only be followed by the mastery of information literacy. Students with high information literacy skills will understand information or materials given in the classroom more easily, and acquire knowledge more accurately. To obtain or develop information literacy competencies, it is necessary to establish a typical behavior in responding to the information. Students' involvement in the classroom can encourage them to behave better academically, be motivated, more curious in learning and be more enthusiastic in mastering the classroom materials. Classroom involvement is influenced by students' interest of the learning process (both in course materials and learning strategies), which has an impact on their learning achievement. Student and teacher collaboration in the classroom may also have an indirect effect on learning outcomes. Besides, class culture can increase the active participation of learners and encourage high-level thinking. Hence, the ability of positive and quality information literacy is influenced by how individuals are actively involved and able to practice the values they get in the classroom.
This study examines and discusses information literacy skills (IL) among students in dealing with the Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 in three countries; Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. More specifically, the researcher discusses information search and management strategies undertaken by students in various learning environments and cultures. The respondents consisted of 331 Indonesian students, 320 Malaysian students, and 198 Thailand students. The characteristic of IL skills of the Indonesian and Malaysian students is more on the ability to evaluate products and processes, while the Thai students tend to assess and comprehend the information F(2, 847)
The present data article provides a descriptive and analytical exploration on the links between positive mental health, subjective happiness, forgiveness, humility, and information literacy self-efficacy among 969 undergraduate students from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. There are 355 males and 614 females with an average age of 20.47 years and a standard deviation of 1.87. Respondents are recruited by simple random sampling using face to face method, at one time data retrieval during 2019. The Indonesian, Malaysian and Thailand-version questionnaires were provided to each groups of participants according to their nationality and native language, using back-to-back analysis. The socio-demographic details of the respondents, descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation matrix of all variables in all groups according to country, results of regression analysis of variables, and Kruskal Wallis for all five variables in all groups are provided.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
