Batik is one of the crafts in Indonesia. The form and function of batik has developed. Formerly used by the royal court, now it is not. Every batik work produced has a character in it. These characters are found in their cultural background, beliefs, customs, and tastes. This makes batik a vehicle for cultivating character values. It is feared that the potential for Indonesian batik will be eroded without the preservation of Indonesian society. Although Indonesia has produced a lot of batik, there are still a few that show its distinctive features. Recently, batik appears in Malang, but it does not have a patent right. So it does not yet have a unique batik motif. Even though it does not have a patent right, there is batik that is well known in Malang, namely the Parang Mask batik from the Panji figure. In the batik motif is associated with the values of character education including religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation and integrity as a form of character building for elementary school children. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the character education of Parang Mask batik as a form of character building for elementary school children. This study uses a qualitative approach with this type of descriptive research. The subject is Parang Mask batik. The character values in the Parang Mask batik are religious values, nationalist values and also the value of mutual cooperation.
Dalam pelatihan Batik ecoprint tahun ini, sasaran utama adalah pendidik SDM 8 DAU di Kabupaten Malang. Mereka merupakan pendidik hebat dalam melestarikan budaya setempat khususnya Malang serta sebagai modal dalam berwirausaha. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk mengajarkan kepada anak didiknya mempersiapkan mereka untuk lebih kreatif dan diharapkan pendidik mampu menciptakan kemandirian usaha dengan mendirikan unit usaha kecil. Batik ecoprint sendiri merupakan pembuatan batik berbahan dasar alam seperti daun-daunan. Batik ecoprint memiliki banyak kegunaan yaitu tidak mencemari lingkungan serta melatih kepekaan warna dalam pembuatannya. Selain hal diatas, kurangnya pengetahuan tentang HKI terkait motif teknik ecoprint yang dihasilkan bapak dan ibu pendidik. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdian masyarakat UMM memberikan pelatihan pembuatan batik Ecoprint sekaligus melakukan pendampingan pendaftaran Hak Kekayaan Atas Intelektual atas motif Batik yang dihasilkan melalui Dirjen HAKI (direktorat Jenderal Hak Kekayaan Atas Intelektual) sebagai bukti kepatuhan terhadap hukum dan bentuk perlindungan hukum terhadap karya yang dihasilkan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan dengan lima tahap dan didalamnya terdapat metode pembuatan batik Ecoprint serta metode pembuatan produk. Adapun motif yang digunakan pada batik tersebut terdiri dari berbagai jenis daun-daunan yang menyerupai benda-benda yang bias dijadikan benda dengan ciri khas Kabupaten Malang serta bisa digunakan sebagai motif Batik teknik Ecoprint. Melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan tersebut diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan jiwa wirausaha Bapak Ibu SD Muhammadiyah 8 DAU, sehingga Malang akan dipenuhi batik ecoprint hasil produksi sendiri yang sudah dihasilkan.
This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of Guided-Inquiry model to train science process skills. This research design in this study was One-group Pre-test and Post-test which applied to 15 students of senior high school. The data were analyzed using Anova, N-gain and the paired t-test. The result showed that there was a significant improvement of students' science process skill at = 5%, the average N-gain of 1.06 was categorized high. The result of science process skill test before being taught with learning instrument developed had average pretest was 60. The result was low because the ability of the students to understood the material was low and most of the students did not accustomed yet to practice the science process skills, so many students were having trouble. Based on the post-test results of students' science process skills that have increased with an average post-test value of 89. These results indicated that learning instrument developed through the guided Inquiry model have a positive effect on training students' science process skills. Thus, The Guided-Inquiry Model to train science process skill which was developed is effective.
Character education is an effort to create a generation that is intelligent and has noble character and has an Indonesian personality. The success of character education in learning does not necessarily come from the perspective of the cognitive domain, but rather how to balance cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains whose estuary is to create a complete human being, likewise with cultural values. Foreign cultural values are growing rapidly along with technological advances, which have significantly shifted local cultural values in Indonesia, one of which is batik, most people, including university students, do not know the uniqueness of local wisdom in their respective regions; this Soendari Gallery has a batik based on strengthening character education. The purpose of this study is how to analyze the content of character education contained in Grombol Batik at the Soendari Gallery. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subject of this research is Grompol Batik from Soendari Gallery. In Grompol batik, there is a circle or oval shape, which is one of the five characters, namely mutual cooperation. Besides that kawung is also known as a symbol of strength and justice which is also one of the dai character education. It can be concluded that the Grompol batik contains character education in it. This research is expected to provide many benefits for the community and the artists.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan Visualisasi Motif Batik Teratai di Galeri Soendari Berbasis Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter, (2) Mendeskripsikan Makna Filosofi Motif Batik Teratai di Galeri Soendari Berbasis Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter, (3) Menganalisis muatan karakter pada Motif Batik Teratai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu motif batik Malangan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah (1) Di dalam Motif Batik Teratai terdapat beberapa visual atau bentuk motif diantaranya motif bunga teratai, sulur-sulur dan daun dari bunga teratai. (2) Beberapa motif dari Batik Teratai memeiliki makna filosofi yaitu untuk motif bunga teratai selain melambangkan keindahan juga memiliki makna kesuburan dimana diharapkan pemakainya senantiasa subur makmur dan terpelihara jiwa dan raganya, sedangkan untuk sulur-sulur merupakan simbol bahwa perwujudan suatu kehidupan itu akan terus berlangsung, tumbuh dan berkembang tapi tak abadi dan senantiasa mengingatkan bahwa manusia pasti akan mati dan makna filosofi daun dari bunga teratai adalah mengajarkan tentang kehidupan kaya yang harus disyukuri dan dijaga. (3) Muatan nilai karakter yang bisa diambil dari Motif Bunga Teratai dapat dilihat dan dianalisis antara lain dari (bentuk/visual) maupun warna yang ada dalam batik teratai
