Dlatego autorzy swoje rozważania rozpoczynają od ukazania konieczności stosowania myślenia strategicznego na każdym poziomie zarządzania organizacjami. W artykule omówiono i rozróżniono pojęcia: motywacja i motywowanie pracowników. Autorzy przedstawiają analizę porównawczą wyników badań dotyczących czynników, które determinują chęć oraz efektywność pracy funkcjonariuszy polskiej Policji. Badania te zostały przeprowadzone zarówno wśród kadry kierowniczej, jak i wykonawczej polskiej Policji w latach 2013–2016. Kolejne badania z przedstawionego zakresu zostały zaplanowane na 2023 r.
Purpose:The article aims to identify a profile of NCOs competencies ensuring the functioning of the Polish Air Force in the context of anticipated changes in the operational environment. Design/Methodology/Approach: The analysis of quantitative empirical material (303 questionnaires performed among NCOs) concerning the structure of competencies required in the future operational environment. Findings: Based on a set of diagnostic variables (potential indicators of competencies, here -53 characteristics), a new set of 9 variables was created to express the relationships between the observed variables. Practical implications:A developed competency profile may be used to design a study program and thus will improve the educational system, will be helpful to evaluate the NCO. The model may help in implementing changes to use the employees' competencies effectively. Originality/Value: It is complete research for determining the structure of NCO competencies suitable for the future operational environment.
Purpose:The objective of the paper is to provide the consequences of long-term management decisions in a hierarchical university (as illustrated by the case of the Police Academy), as a learning organisation during Covid-19 pandemic. Design/Methodology/Approach: Critical analysis of documents, participant observation. Findings: Results of the conducted analysis will improve the system of managing the University and will be effectively used to meet future challenges. Practical Implications: The article is devoted to the practical aspect of psychological and social aspects of making decisions. Originality/value: The originality of described contents consists in depicting the issue of deciding understood as a management function in a hierarchical institution that is the Police. The analysis of this issue is extremely important and valuable through the social and psychological prism.
Purpose:The aim of the article is to analyze the information systems used in the Polish police in the context of the possibility of using them in supporting of management processes. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research used the method of functional comparative analysis. The functions of the IT systems used in the Polish police were examined and mapped onto main functions of management information systems indicated in the literature. Findings: The article identifies the main functions of information management systems, and then compares the three main IT systems currently used in the Polish police with the functions they should have based on the literature. The systems used in the Polish police support the management staff only in selected areas. These systems still need the implementation of many functions, in particular those supporting the prediction of future phenomena, forecasting trends, as well as functions supporting the planning of professional development of employees. Practical Implications: The conclusions from the research should serve as a recommendation for the direction of the development of information systems used in the Polish police. Originality/Value: The presented research is unique in terms of analyzing the possibilities of using the systems used in the Polish police for human resource management, increasing work efficiency and effectiveness and for supporting the management staff.
The aim of the publication is to present the results of the research with the documents research method, involving studies of literature, legislation, and source acts on development of the system supporting the psychological tests (psychological tests battery) of the police drivers, including the privileged drivers of the police. The system, in its assumptions, should inter alia allow to make assessment of intellectual and psychomotor skills as well as personality (in accordance with the detailed guidelines of annex 6 to Regulation of the Minister of Health of 8 July 2014 on the psychological tests of the vehicles drivers using the tools of proven accuracy, reliability above .7, objective, standardised, and normalised within a group of police drivers). The described research is conducted based on the grant for realisation of the development project: "Development of Psychological Tests Supporting System of the Drivers for the Police", no. DOB-BIO7/20/01/2015. The method for the research of the documents in the form of indirect observation allowed to analyse the legal acts, both national and international, and the laws in force in the European Union.
