This contribution shows the interest of geographical analysis to have firstly a better comprehension of the environmental conflicts operation which are linked with transportation networks, and secondly to put forward solutions to regulate these conflicts.

Les associations de riverains créées à l'encontre d'un grand projet d'infrastructure se multiplient et sont surtout de plus en plus efficaces. Le syndrome Nimby donne de plus en plus fréquemment la migraine aux chargés de projet d'aménagement. Mais quelle est réellement l'extension spatiale du Nimby ? Nous proposons ici une réponse à partir de la cartographie de la contestation au projet de Train à Grande Vitesse Bretagne-Pays de la Loire.
