Consumers’ decision-making is complex and diverse in terms of gender. Different social, psychological, and economic factors mold the decision-making preferences of consumers. Most researchers used a variance-based approach to explain consumer decision-making that assumes symmetric relationship between variables. We have collected data from 468 smartwatch users and applied a fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to explain and compare male and female consumers’ decision-making complexity. fsQCA assumes that an asymmetric relationship between variables can exist in the real world, and different combinations of variables can lead to the same output. Results explain that different variables have a core and secondary level of impact on consumer decision-making. Hence, we can not claim that certain factors are significant or insignificant for decision-making. fsQCA results revealed that cost value, performance expectancy, and social influence play a key role in consumers’ buying decisions. This study has contributed to the existing literature by explaining consumer decision-making by applying configuration and complexity theories and identifying unique solutions for both genders. A major contribution to theoretical literature was also made by this research, which revealed the complexity of consumer purchasing decisions made for new products.
A Posidonia oceanica waste marine plant was used to produce a wet-laid nonwoven web for multifunction applications. To study the effect of some parameters related to the web characteristics (sheet weight, binder ratio, and pulp ratio) on the mechanical and physical properties of the web, we used a Box–Behnken design plan with three levels. The diagram of the superposed contours graphic method was used to find the optimum parameters of the process for the application of the Posidonia nonwoven fiber on an insulation field. With the measurement of the thermal conductivity properties using the box method, the results demonstrated that the nonwoven fiber from Posidonia oceanica marine waste had good insulation properties in comparison with other classical natural fibers (hemp, flax) used in the field of insulation with the big advantage of being a natural product.
The yarn quality depends on many parameters: characteristics parameters, mechanical and physical properties.
Making the hypothesis that the quality of the yarn is a multicriteria problem, in this paper, we propose a new method to
determine the Quality Yarn Index QYI based on Analytic Hierarchy Process AHP and Fuzzy theory.
A questionnaire was designed for experts of each field (weaving and knitting) to evaluate the relative importance for
each property to determine coefficients of the AHP matrix.
Results revealed that matrix coefficients changed with yarn application (weft or warp weaving and knitting)
The QYI can be used in any application, where a rapid decision is needed, to evaluate the global quality of yarn and to
make a comparison between different yarn qualities
The quality of service (QoS) in 5G/6G communication enormously depends upon the mobility and agility of the network architecture. An increase in the possible uses of 5G vehicular network simultaneously expands the scope of the network’s quality of service (QoS). To this end, a safety-critical real-time system has become one of the most demanding criteria for the vehicular network. Although different mathematical and computation methods have traditionally been used to optimize the allocation of resources, but the nonconvexity of optimization issues creates unique type of challenges. In recent years, machine learning (ML) has emerged as a valuable tool for dealing with computational complexity that involves large amounts of data in heterogeneous vehicular networks. By using optimization and cutting-edge machine learning techniques, this article gives readers an insight about how 5G vehicular network resources can be allocated to reinforce network communication. Furthermore, a new federated deep reinforcement learning- (FDRL-) based vehicle communication method is presented as a new insight. Finally, a UAV-aided vehicular communication system based on FDRL-based UAVs is proposed as a novel resource management technique to optimize 5G and 6G quality of services.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
