Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana fungsi perencanaan di Pondok Pesantren Sindangsari Al-Jawami dari sisi proses perencanaan dan hasil perencanaan sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan kinerja pengurus organisasi santri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa fungsi perencanaan dalam meningkatkan kinerja pengurus organisasi santri dibagi menjadi dua bagian. Dari segi proses perencanaan meliputi rapat kerja dewan santri, rapat harian, rapat bidang, dan rapat evaluasi dewan santri. Sedangkan dari hasil perencanaannya terdapat program, kebijakan, dan aturan. Bentuk program yang ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja di antaranya adalah program pemberian reward kepada pengurus terbaik. Terdapat pula program pelatihan keterampilan manajemen dan organisasi. Di sisi lain, terdapat sanksi terhadap pengurus menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya dengan semena-mena. This paper aims to describe how planning is carried out in the Sindangsari Al-Jawami Islamic boarding school. Specifically, this paper focuses on the process and results of the planning as part of efforts to improve the performance of santri organization. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The results of the study shows that the planning function in improving the performance of the santri organization council can be divided into two parts. The planning process includes the santri council's work meeting, daily meeting, division’s meeting, and evaluation meeting of the santri council. From the planning results there are programs, policies, and rules. The programs that aims at improving performance include the rewards given to to the best committee member. There are also management and organizational skills training programs. On the other hand, there are sanctions for committees member who cannot perform well in carrying their duties.
