It is an aspect that needs to be observed after a divorce occurs, other than maintenance and custody. In reality, many women who are observing the waiting period are involved in a career and social activities which leaves certain implications and creates challenges as to the actual process of waiting period as stipulated by Islam. Hence, this conceptual paper aims to review the sharī‘ah rulings on some common activities that these women who are separated by revocable divorce were involved in, such as in the aspects of career, appearance and celebratory occasions. Qualitative methodology was adopted by collecting and analyzing Muslim jurists' opinions on social activities that the women who are observing waiting period of revocable divorce are involved in. This study found that the opinions of Muslim jurists and their discourse on legal sources on the basis of legal objectives (Maqāṣid al-Sharī'ah) can determine the status of involvement in social activities among women who were revocably divorced and observing the waiting period.
The issue of cross-gender or transgender is increasingly worrying among Muslims these days. The combination of both technology and countless social media applications makes it easy across all age, especially young people, to access various forms of discussion including those related to transgender. Much effort has been made by the transgender community towards normalizing this phenomenon in Malaysia. This is extremely worrying as young people are more easily influenced to follow the current trend as well as various other factors that contribute to the formation of this group. The lack of religious appreciation also causes them to do things that are contrary to Islam without taking into consideration the matter of both reward and sin. Therefore, this study aims to assess the level of awareness of IPT university students on transgender issues in Malaysia. To achieve this objective, a research questionnaire has been distributed to respondents who were university students in Malaysia. The data that was collected has been analyzed descriptively. The results of the study discovered that the respondents had a high level of awareness about transgender in Malaysia. This shows that students' understanding of this issue which is becoming more pervasive and widespread. However, there are a handful of respondents who are uncertain and unaware of the presence of this trans-gender group

Iddah merupakan suatu tempoh tertentu yang ditetapkan bagi seorang wanita yang diceraikan atau selepas kematian suami. Ia merupakan salah satu aspek yang perlu dilalui selepas berlaku penceraian selain nafkah dan hadhanah. Realiti wanita beriddah pada masa kini banyak melibatkan diri dalam kerjaya dan aktiviti masyarakat yang memberi impak dan cabaran dalam proses pelaksanaan iddah yang sebenar mengikut Islam. Justeru, kertas kerja konsep ini bertujuan untuk melihat pandangan syariah terhadap beberapa aktiviti yang menjadi kebiasaan dalam kalangan wanita yang ditalak raji’e seperti dalam aspek kerjaya, penampilan dan aktiviti keraian. Metodologi kualitatif dijalankan dengan mengumpul dan menganalisis pandangan-pandangan fuqaha terhadap aktiviti sosial yang dilakukan oleh wanita yang berada dalam iddah talak raji’e. Kajian ini mendapati pandangan dan kupasan dalil oleh para fuqaha berdasarkan Maqasid Syariah dapat menentukan status perlaksanaan aktiviti sosial dalam kalangan wanita beriddah talak raji’e.
Islam has set a marriage law comprehensively to ensure the survival of a family institution by verifying the rights and responsibilities of spouses. Islam also permits couples to append any conditions (syarat) in marriage contracts as long as within the Islamic law. However, Malaysia has practice conditions that approved merely on contracts of divorce which outlined in the Islamic Family Law. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to analyst the views of the majority of scholars (fuqaha), then to compare marriage contract of Malaysia practices and to evaluate its implications. This is a qualitative study, focusing on collection of data related to setting conditions in marriage by analyzing the views of the fuqaha, and analyzing the applications inductively in Islamic Family Law in Malaysia. The study finds that fuqaha collectively has consent to contracts should not conflict with Islamic law, indeed the Hanabilah is considerable to allow all conditions in marriage except that opposed to the Quran and Sunnah. The law in Malaysia practically do not implement all the views of the fuqaha in terms of conditions in marriage. Furthermore, the debate between views of fuqaha and the Islamic Family Law in Malaysia pertaining to conditions of marriage however address to the requirements on talak (divorce) of its impact to marriage. According to Malaysia Islamic Family Law, only the taklik read during the marriage ceremony is allowed without the addition of other taklik. If the taklik related to preventing this polygamy is mentioned by the husband after the marriage contract, then it will be considered as a normal divorce.The significant of this study is the Legislative Body had to re-enact the law by incorporating the provision that gave the couple the option to include any conditions does not conflict with Islamic law in order to secure the interests of their marriage.
Islam places great emphasis on good forms of communication in line with the purpose of Muslim life which plays a role in conveying da’wah. In this regard, communication skills that focus on the use of the proverb and parable versus of the Qur’an should be used as a method in teaching nd learning as a mechanisme that is able to build the personality and manners of students of higher learning institutions. Therefore, this writing aims to identify the relationship between sentences in the form of proverbs and parables with communication skills in teaching and learning. Thus, this researched method is qualitatively in the form of a library study that focuses on relevant past references. The data obtained will be analyzed content in explaining the objective. Research has found that figurative and satirical language style methods have a positive impact on students. It also stimulates students to ask questions and give feedback. In conclusion, the proverbial verses in the Qur’an in the form of this parable encourage good two-way communication between educators and students. Islam amat memberi penekanan terhadap bentuk komunikasi yang baik sejajar dengan tujuan hidup Muslim yang berperanan dalam menyampaikan dakwah. Sehubungan dengan itu, kemahiran komunikasi yang memfokuskan kepada penggunaan ayat amsal Al- Qur’an perlu dijadikan sebagai kaedah dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran sebagai mekanisme yang berupaya dalam membina sahsiah dan adab para pelajar institusi pengajian tinggi. Oleh itu, penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti hubungkait antara ayat-ayat yang berbentuk amsal dan perumpamaan dengan kemahiran komunikasi dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Justeru, kaedah kajian ini adalah secara kualitatif berbentuk kajian perpustakaan yang menumpukan kepada rujukan-rujukan lepas yang berkaitan. Data-data yang diperolehi akan dianlisis secara kandungan dalam menjelaskan objektif tersebut. Penelitian mendapati kaedah gaya bahasa kiasan dan sindiran memberi impak yang positif di kalangan pelajar. Ia juga merangsang para pelajar untuk bertanya dan memberi pandangan. Konklusinya, ayat-ayat amsal dalam Al-Qur’an berbentuk perumpamaan ini menggalakkan komunikasi dua hala yang baik antara pendidik dan pelajar.
