Simulation experiments of a periodic control regime for continuous fermentation processes are described. They are carried out with a state-structure model on the basis of a system of delaydifferential equations. The perception of a fermentation system as an ecosystem leads to new and informative results which are to be applied to the development of efficient periodic control strategies.
A concept for the periodic control of fermentation processes is presented which realizes a strategy with maximal material and energetic efficiencies. The program system for situation control, problems of selection of the feature vector and the experimental results are discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
