Teacher professionalism is one of the important aspects of improving the academic success of students. In order to establish teacher professionalism development programs, then it needs to be identified the factors which influenced it. The research that has been around so far tend to prioritize external factors than internal factors, whereas according to a literature review, the researcher finds that internal factors have more impact on the improvement of teacher professionalism. This study aimed to determine the influence of values and achievement motivation on teacher professionalism. This study used a quantitative research by testing hypotheses. The data sources were selected through saturated sampling techniques. The sample for this study consisted of 60 teachers from Muhammadiyah 2 High School Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The data was collected using a questionnaire. The collected data were analysed using simple regression and multiple regression techniques with the aid of SPSS statistics application. The results showed that the teacher's values had a positive and significant effect on the teachers' professionalism with a correlation value of 0.562, achievement motivation had a positive effect on the professionalism of the teacher with a correlation value of 0.196, and values and achievement motivation had a simultaneous positive effect on the teachers' professionalism with a correlation value of 0.616. This study aims to determine the transformation of educational facility management in the era of technological disruption, where the place of this research was carried out at Duta Bangsa University, Surakarta. The methodology in this study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are by observation, interviews and documentation. The method used to check the validity of the data is the triangulation method, namely by utilizing various methods as a consideration. The data analysis technique in this study is data that has been obtained by descriptive (non-statistical) method. Activities in data analysis, namely data reduction (data reduction), data display (data presentation), and verification (drawing conclusions). The results show that the transformation of educational facility management in the era of technological disruption that has been carried out by Duta Bangsa University Surakarta continues to be carried out starting from educational services that are directed towards technology-based both physical and non-physical in supporting universities, as well as in the implementation of all technology-based learning as a demands for technological developments that are happening more rapidly (disruption) in order to create a superior campus in the era of technological disruption.
A common challenge encountered by educators to engage in an emergency remote learning is the selection of an effective digital platform to assist teaching and learning activities. Drawing on this issue, this study offers a practical solution by scrutinizing the potential use of android-based application named Discord as a digital platform to conduct online teaching and learning. To this end, a group of elementary school teachers and students enrolled in Islamic religious and moral education courses was involved as participants in a descriptive qualitative research by employing interview, observation, and documentation as instruments to collect the required data. The results demonstrated that Discord android-based application was proven to be an alternative for elementary school educators as a digital learning platform during the emergency remote learning in the age of Covid-19 pandemic. The results of observation further showed that online teaching-learning activities using Discord application could successfully create communicative digital learning environment which was interesting and enjoyable for the students. Despite the potential advantages, a number of challenges were also discussed in this study. The results of this study contribute as a practical insight for teachers and students in assisting online learning activities as Discord application helps them experience a new nuance of distance learning.
This study aimed to describe the implementation of AIK learning program with the Baitul Arqam model at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta in the 2019/2020 year. This study employed a qualitative approach to research. In collecting data, this study used observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques, while the data validation was a triangulation of data sources and theories. This study's data analysis applied a CIPP Stufflebeam analysis. The results showed that (1) evaluating the AIK learning program with the Baitul Arqam model can be stated quite well in planning, organization, and implementation. The evaluation results on the supervision aspect of AIK learning program within the Baitul Arqam model can be unfavorable. Supervision was carried out only when students follow Baitul Arqam. Maintenance carried out after following the AIK learning with the Baitul Arqam model was not held. (2) The challenges faced by the AIK learning program with the Baitul Arqam model included: (a) the need for strategic planning, (b) qualified educators based on the standards, (c) a campus environment, and (d) an integrated supervision model.
