Big data analytics takes raw, real-time data and uses it to predict trends. Successful use of this data can have a powerful impact on a business’s effectiveness and ultimately their bottom line. As the amount of data increases, the need for analytics is growing. This teaching study discusses the role of social media in data analytics, how to approach the subject, and the desired outcomes. Students will explore the expansion of this field of study, familiarize themselves with the concept and where they may have encountered it in their lives so far, and discuss what analytics can contribute to running a successful business.
The purpose of researching how much online learning in a university setting influences the students' preparedness for remote work in the global labor force is to prove the following: without the essential opportunity to learn in the virtual classroom, students might finish their degrees completely without knowledge of how to cope and function in a job position which requires partial or total online work.Being able to telecommute or work from a remote location and all that this sort of work entails will be a given within 10-20 years when new hires are being considered for employment. Universities play a key role in getting the next generation of workers ready for remote professional opportunities which would otherwise require additional training and acclimatization in order for entry level candidates to experience a seamless initialization into companies already moving steadily towards a more remote work-based model. Summary:Most of the students, 108 which is 56.3 % of total, took only one class online. The second highest was 19 students having taken 4 classes online, 9.9 % of total. There were 11 students who took 8 classes online, 5.7 % of total, and even 1 student who took 13 classes online, 0.5 % of total. 6Published by SCHOLINK INC."predominantly based on electronic information and communication tools" (qtd. in Magnier-Watanabe, 2017, pp. 267-285). Students who completed assignments, quizzes, team projects, exams, and online class discussion are prepared for remote job communication with both supervisors and employees. When considering hiring an employee who took some classes online, management trusts that scheduling that employee to work from home is a reasonable choice for management to make and one for which the candidate is well-prepared. Students who took classes online know how important it is to follow up with the weekly class schedule posted by the professor and meet deadlines for the completion their school assignments. Forecasts predict a steady increase in the number of students who taking online classes in the future. Using online communication for the purpose of communicating with the
With the Covid-19 pandemic forcing organizations to work remotely, this paper presents a wide-ranging study of factors affecting the transition from physical to online operations, and the management and conduct of business online. A literature review summarizes years of research on remote work, while an international survey done in August 2020 collects input from managers in 158 organizations dealing with pandemic-related lockdowns. Topics include impacts on productivity, employee morale, and management workload. Sampled organizations range from manufacturing and retail firms to schools and universities. Cross-sector analysis allows inquiry into why, for instance, productivity and morale may decline in some places but improve in others.

Recruiting agencies in Central Europe partner with various companies in the United States to place young women and men (ages 18–26) from their countries into the homes of U.S. families as au pairs, i.e., live-in child care providers. Ideally, the arrangement combines cultural exchange with useful services, to the benefit of all. However, many “matches” do not go well. In over one-fourth of the cases surveyed for this paper, the au pair did not complete the agreed-upon stay with the U.S. host family, often leaving at the family’s insistence. These failures are harmful to the persons involved as well as to the Central European recruiting agencies and the U.S. companies they work with. This paper examines how success rates could be improved through better practices by all concerned. Success factors include: setting realistic expectations for au pair candidates and host families, coaching them for online interviews (including optimum use of the technology), and providing strong follow-up support. Research for the paper included a survey of U.S. host families and comparative studies of sources such as news reports, academic publications, public websites used in the au pair industry, and other materials. Background. Recruiting agencies in Central Europe partner with various companies in the United States to place young women and men (ages 18−26) from their countries into the homes of U.S. families as au pairs, i.e., live-in child care providers. This paper examines how success rates could be improved through better practices. Success factors include: setting realistic expectations for au pair candidates and host families, coaching them for online interviews and providing strong follow-up support. Methodology. A survey of U.S. host families and comparative studies of multiple sources, e.g., news reports, academic publications, public websites from au pair industry. Key findings. A successful placement gives the au pair valuable career experience, enhances the home country’s human capital and its image abroad, helps Central European agents recruit further good candidates. Failures impose financial losses, burdens on all parties. It can damage the au pair’s morale and create obstacles in one’s path to a productive career.
