The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has a mandate to assist member states in areas of human health and particularly in the use of radiation for diagnosis and treatment. Clinical audit is seen as an essential tool to assist in assuring the quality of radiation medicine, particularly in the instance of multidisciplinary audit of diagnostic radiology. Consequently, an external clinical audit programme has been developed by the IAEA to examine the structure and processes existent at a clinical site, with the basic objectives of: (1) improvement in the quality of patient care; (2) promotion of the effective use of resources; (3) enhancement of the provision and organisation of clinical services; (4) further professional education and training. These objectives apply in four general areas of service delivery, namely quality management and infrastructure, patient procedures, technical procedures and education, training and research. In the IAEA approach, the audit process is initiated by a request from the centre seeking the audit. A three-member team, comprising a radiologist, medical physicist and radiographer, subsequently undertakes a 5-d audit visit to the clinical site to perform the audit and write the formal audit report. Preparation for the audit visit is crucial and involves the local clinical centre completing a form, which provides the audit team with information on the clinical centre. While all main aspects of clinical structure and process are examined, particular attention is paid to radiation-related activities as described in the relevant documents such as the IAEA Basic Safety Standards, the Code of Practice for Dosimetry in Diagnostic Radiology and related equipment and quality assurance documentation. It should be stressed, however, that the clinical audit does not have any regulatory function. The main purpose of the IAEA approach to clinical audit is one of promoting quality improvement and learning. This paper describes the background to the clinical audit programme and the IAEA clinical audit protocol.
Drug addiction is a widespread problem in Malaysia. Various treatments to cure drug addiction are discussed in this study. Among this treatments are religious approaches, based on the Quran and al-Sunnah. The research questions are more on the concept of drug addiction and drug dangers, conventional addiction treatment and alternative treatment of Islam as discussed. The methodology of this scientific study focuses on qualitative methods. This study focuses on the analysis of the work and the results of the findings. The results show that the Islamic approach is more successful than conventional treatment. Therefore, Islamic treatment is given priority in restoring drug addiction which is important to apply in every institution, rehabilitation center and the family of addicts themselves. Masalah penagihan dadah adalah masalah yang semakin berleluasa di Malaysia. Pelbagai rawatan untuk memulihkan ketagihan dadah dibincangkan di dalam kajian ini. Antara rawatannya ialah pendekatan agama, berlandaskan al-Quran dan al-Sunnah. Persoalan kajian ini lebih kepada konsep penagihan dadah dan bahaya dadah, rawatan ketagihan secara konvensional dan juga rawatan ketagihan secara alternatif keislaman yang telah dibincangkan. Metodologi kajian ilmiah ini berfokuskan kepada metod kualitatif. Kajian ini memberi tumpuan kepada analisis karya dan hasil dapatan yang telah didokumentasikan. Hasil kajian mendapati pendekatan secara islamik adalah lebih berjaya berbanding dengan rawatan secara konvensional. Oleh yang demikian, rawatan secara Islam diberi keutamaan dalam memulihkan ketagihan dadah yang merupakan perkara penting untuk diaplikasikan di setiap institusi, pusat pemulihan dan kalangan keluarga penagih itu sendiri.
Felda youth play an important milestone for the development of Felda in the future. Hence, building a solid identity is very essential in the development of human capital to cope with the issue of social problem which happening among Felda's teenagers. The phenomenon of social problems among adolescence has prompted da'wah institutions to play their role to overcome these social issues. The objective of this study is to identify the activities planned by the Islamic Organization for Felda youth. In addition, this study also aim to analyze the activities that have been carried out by the Islamic Organization as it is an organization that helps to solve the social problems faced by Felda youth. Two research methods had been used in this study which is qualitative methods and conceptual research by collecting the data in order to develop a resilient study. Da'wah activities of Islamic Organization can be classified into several forms that are related to the development of Islamic belief, shari'a and society's character. There are several of da'wah activities such as seminars, adolescent camps, counseling and et cetera. The findings show that religious activities can contribute in strengthening the identity of adolescence, bringing changes to the social growth of the Felda community and its teaching is appropriate with Islamic philosophy. Finally, the missionary work of the Islamic Organization in approaching the youth in Felda has brought a positive impact. Keywords: Adolescent, Solid Identity, Da'wah Activity, Islamic Organization. Remaja Felda merupakan tonggak penting dalam pembangunan Felda pada masa akan datang, Justeru itu, pembentukan jati diri penting dalam pembangunan modal insan bagi membentengi masalah sosial remaja Felda. Fenomena mengenai masalah sosial remaja telah mendorong institusi-institusi dakwah memainkan peranan dalam menangani masalah sosial remaja ini. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengenalpasti aktiviti-aktiviti dakwah Organisasi Islam terhadap remaja Felda dan menganalisis aktiviti dakwah yang dijalankan oleh Organisasi Islam sebagai organisasi yang berperanan dalam membantu menyelesaikan masalah sosial yang dihadapi remaja Felda. Reka bentuk kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif dan penyelidikan konseptual dengan mengumpul data-data untuk membangunkan kajian ini. Aktiviti dakwah Organisasi Islam diklasifikasikan dalam beberapa bentuk yang berkisar tentang pembangunan akidah, syariah dan akhlak masyarakat. Antara aktiviti dakwah ialah seminar, kem remaja, bimbingan kaunseling dan sebagainya. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa aktiviti keagamaan dapat memberi sumbangan dari aspek pengukuhan jati diri remaja, membawa perubahan kepada pertumbuhan sosial komuniti Felda dan tuntutan ajarannya sesuai dengan tuntutan yang diajar oleh Islam. Dan akhirnya gambaran tentang gerak kerja dakwah Organisasi Islam bagi mendekati golongan remaja di Felda telah memberi kesan yang positif. Baby dumping is one of the social problems which are being discussed openly among the Muslim community in Malaysia. It became a big issue when the act of baby dumping has become more frequent at the beginning of 2010 until 2012. Baby dumping occurs because of pressures of life among those who are weak in their faith. Abandonment is causing the child to be referred to as adoptee (anak pungut) when found alive. An appropriate term of adoptee is being used to abandoned baby as seen from the point of responsibility. Unlike to foster child (anak angkat), the way of surrender and acceptance is between the two sides of parents and new guardians. This article discuss the law perspectives towards the abandoned baby, adoptee and how they should be take care of. Some suggestions presented solution to curb as well as to overcome the problem of abandoning baby as an immediate action for the child custody or upbringing of the child. Ia mula menjadi isu besar apabila perlakuan buang bayi makin menjadi-jadi pada awal tahun 2010 sehingga tahun 2012. Pembuangan bayi ini berlaku disebabkan tekanan hidup daripada kalangan mereka yang lemah pegangan agama. Pembuangan bayi ini menyebabkan anak tersebut disebut sebagai anak pungut apabila dijumpai masih hidup. Istilah anak pungut lebih wajar digunakan kepada anak yang dijumpai kerana melihat dari sudut tanggungjawab. Berbeza dengan anak angkat kerana cara penyerahan dan penerimaan adalah antara kasih sayang kedua belah pihak ibubapa dan penjaga. Artikel ini membincangkan dari sudut hukum terhadap anak pungut tersebut dan bagaimana penjagaannya. Beberapa cadangan penyelesaian dikemukakan bagi membendung dan mengatasi segera perbuatan membuang bayi dan cadangan penyelesaian terhadap jagaan atau asuhan terhadap anak pungut tersebut.
