Sustainability plays an important role in society by improving long-term quality of life, including future generations, seeking harmony between economic growth, social development and the protection of the environment. For decades, companies focused their efforts on maximizing returns for their stakeholders, setting aside the preservation of the environment by making indiscriminate use of local resources, which had a direct impact on the social and economic well-being of it, however today the organizations analyze and evaluate the demands, tastes and preferences of new generations as a competitive strategy, because they seek healthier and safer spars, showing increasing interest in social indicators, economics and mid-environment, denying sustainable strategies for their stakeholders. The combination of statistical techniques of descriptive and contingency analysis the sustainability of the tourist micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) of the state of Baja California through the application of the travel and tourism competitive index. The main findings show that the sustainable good practices implemented by micro-entrepreneurs so far has allowed them to develop competitive value strategies focused on their Stakeholders, seeing an increase in their competitiveness.
As a result of the health contingency caused by COVID-19, a large number of companies worldwide have been forced to drastically change their work processes in order to adapt to the current situation; however, the strategies proposed by governments around the world to deal with this crisis have been classified as seasonal by health specialists, implying that at some point it will return to normal. To this end, this study is developed through the implementation of four strategic models (strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats (SWOT) method, competitive advantage matrix, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix, and the ERIC matrix: Eliminate—Reduce—Increase—Create)) that allow entrepreneurs in the tourism sector of the State of Baja California to face the consequences that the pandemic has generated in detriment of its competitiveness, which, in turn, will allow them to design competitive strategies that directly support the tourism sector of the entity, facilitating decision making to achieve the sustainable development of regional tourism. Observing that the main competitive advantage of the entrepreneurs in the studied sector is the fact that they are mostly part of the gastro-tourism cluster of Baja California since they receive support and joint promotion that allows them to generate a unique and inimitable competitive advantage.
The exhibit features Mexican microenterprises today give evidence of the problems that they face in terms of managing their activities, where the role of economic-financial elements is perceived. Although the issue has been addressed in previous studies the contribution of this study is to evaluate in an integrated manner the level of economic and financial management (GEF) in micro and impact on business results. To do an index is constructed from indicators synthetic methodology using the principal components factor analysis, accompanied by linear regression exercises. The results confirm the presence of elements of GEF in micro studied. Moreover, it was found that the extent to which GEF elements are incorporated in its activities, the impact on their business results will be positive. These observations constitute the prelude to the creation of public policies seeking to establish improvement strategies for such companies, besides that fosters future research for analysis but by sectors of economic activity.
La presente investigación analiza las prácticas que han tomado las instituciones de Educación educación Superior superior (ies) de acuerdo con la Responsabilidad responsabilidad Social social Universitaria universitaria (rsu) se plantea una investigación documental, con un seguimiento a su enfoque medioambiental; por lo cual se realiza un estudio comparativo con un sistema de indicadores para la medición de las áreas referentes al ámbito de protección del medio ambiente en dos universidades de Latinoamérica. El análisis de este estudio dio como conclusión que las universidades participantes si han aplicado medidas técnicas para el cuidado del medio ambiente y han tenido un buen manejo y compromiso con el mismo; se les aconseja proponer nuevas políticas y estrategias para tener un mejor uso y cuidado del medio ambiente en las instituciones.
La creciente preocupación que presenta el Estado de Baja California con respecto a la sostenibilidad de sus negocios, se deriva de la proximidad geográfica que se tiene con los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, y las especificaciones demandadas por el turismo local y extranjero, quienes cada vez demuestran un gran interés en los aspectos sociales, económicos y medio ambientales; lo que obliga a los empresarios de las micro, pequeñas y medianas (mipymes) a ofertar productos o servicios con dichos requerimientos. El sector turístico es uno de los más demandados nacionalmente, por los consumidores de productos o servicios que se preocupan por el desarrollo sostenible, lo que origina la necesidad de estudiar el turismo sostenible como estrategia de competitividad. La industria turística en Baja California ha sido una fuente importante de ingresos en la última década, lo que permite una proyección internacional debido a su naturaleza geográfica e intercambio cultural. La literatura muestra que en Colombia —en Bogotá y Manizales— se han implementado parques turístico-ecológicos como alternativa para el desarrollo sostenible, incrementándose con esto su Producto Interno Bruto (pib) como indicador económico y la creación de empleos como indicador social. Con respecto al Estado de Baja California, el turismo sostenible y su grado de gestión en las mipymes son un tema aún sin explorar. El objetivo de este estudio es identificar el grado de gestión sostenible de las mipymes de Baja California pertenecientes al sector turístico. La metodología es descriptiva y correlacional. A la fecha, se han estudiado mipymes de los municipios de Tijuana y Mexicali; como herramienta de recopilación de datos se utilizó la encuesta y se observó que presentan diferencias significativas en el tipo de turismo que reciben, el efecto de la situación migratoria de la entidad, la publicidad realizada y los apoyos gubernamentales, entre otras.
