Azides to indoles: Dirhodium(II)‐catalyzed decomposition of aryl azides was developed as a mild, functional group tolerant method for the synthesis of indoles (see scheme).
Indole aus Aziden: Die Dirhodium(II)‐katalysierte Zersetzung von Arylaziden macht auf milde Weise Indole zugänglich, ohne dass dabei eventuell vorhandene funktionelle Gruppen stören (siehe Schema).

Indole derivatives R 0140Dirhodium (II)-Catalyzed Intramolecular C-H Amination of Aryl Azides. -The reaction proceeds with generally high yields in the presence of a rhodium catalyst and molecular sieves. It is shown that (E)-and (Z)-isomers generate the same product [cf. (XII)] with comparable yield; however with different catalysts. -(SHEN, M.; LESLIE, B. E.; DRIVER*, T. G.; Angew.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
