Nursing teaching has been facing several difficulties that have generated negative impacts for both the teacher and the student. This study aims to communicate the results of a consolidated analysis of data obtained in the 1st and 2nd stages of a systematic literature review, in which the main challenges of nursing teacher education in the last 15 years were investigated. This is a qualitative approach research with systematization of data called 'State of Art', contemplating the foundations of Discursive Textual Analysis for data analysis. The survey of papers with Qualis stratification A1, A2, B1 and B2 was performed in the Nursing Evaluation Area. In total 12 journals and 23 papers were found covering the theme Nursing Teaching. The main challenges observed were the lack of pedagogical preparation of the nurse teacher during and after graduation, their difficulty in re-elaborating their teaching methodologies and relying on the traditional curriculum rather than the integrated curriculum. It is suggested that the Higher Education Institutions that offer undergraduate Nursing courses, in addition to providing training for nurses in care, provide pedagogical training through disciplines focused on teaching.

As ciências humanas e sociais têm a preocupação de estudar a realidade e sua dinâmica, para que possamos entender de forma crítica nossa existência, nosso relacionamento e nosso papel em sociedade. As ciências humanas têm por objetivo o estudo do homem enquanto ser social, estudos focados nas culturas e hábitos dos seres humanos, ao passo que as ciências sociais buscam estudar os aspectos sociais para entender as diferenças, os interesses e as necessidades dos seres humanos na sociedade. As pesquisas em ciências humanas e sociais transitam desde o estudo do comportamento humano, passando pela interação em contextos sociais, culturais, ambientais, políticos e econômicos. Por meio da pesquisa em ciências humanas e sociais, e de suas correlações, espera-se que a sociedade alcance a capacidade de pensar criticamente, questionar, tomar decisões, resolver problemas, comunicar com eficácia e adaptar-se aos constantes processos de mudanças. É neste contexto que a Synapse Editora lança o Volume 1 do livro Ciências Humanas e Sociais: Pesquisas atuais, uma coletânea de textos que representam reflexões importantes para compreendermos a dinâmica humana, os contextos pessoais, educacionais, sociais e globais, com focos históricos ou contemporâneos, que possibilitam a nossa compreensão e o nosso preparo para os desafios do presente e do futuro.
