Guru memegang peran utama dalam pembangunan pendidikan, khususnya yang di selenggarakan secara formal di sekolah. Guru juga sangat menentukan keberhasilan peserta didik, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan proses mengajar. Guru merupakan komponen yang paling berpengaruh terhadap terciptanya proses dan hasil pendidikan yang berkualitas. Oleh karena itu, upaya perbaikan apapun yang di lakukan uuntuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tidak akan memberikan sumbangan yang signifikan tanpa di dukung oleh guru yang profesional dan berkualitas.Mutu sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh keberadaan guru yang berkualitas yang mencakup dan menekankan pada tiga kemampuan, yaitu kemampuan akademik, kemampuan keterampilan, dan kemampuan sosial moral. mutu sekolah ditentukan oleh tiga variabel, yakni kultur sekolah, proses belajar mengajar dan realitas sekolah. Kultur sekolah merupakan nilai-nilai, kebiasaan-kebiasaan,upacara, slogan, dan berbagai perilaku yang terbentuk di sekolah dan diteruskan dari satu angkatan ke angkatan berikutnya baik secara sadar maupun tidak. Oleh karena itu, upaya perbaikan apapun yang di lakukan uuntuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tidak akan memberikan sumbangan yang signifikan tanpa di dukung oleh guru yang profesional dan berkualitas. Dengan kata lain, perbaikan kualitas pendidikan harus berpangkal dari guru, berujung pada guru pula demi tercapainya mutu pendidikan yang baik.
In the railway industry, slip control has always been essential due to the low friction and low adhesion between the wheels and the rail and has been an issue for the design, activity, and operation of railroad vehicles. Slip is an unpredictable parameter in the railroad that disintegrates the surface of the railroad with a contact surface of the boggy wheel brought about by the mechanical force of traction phenomena, it destabilizes the railway traction which does not fulfill safety and punctuality requirements. In this paper, we present the work based on developing a fuzzy logic-based anti-slip controller for the commuter train using FPGA implementation which minimizes slip parameters. The development of a fuzzy logicbased anti-slip controller for the commuter train is designed in MATLAB and then tested for area-performance parameters in FPGA through the system generator library. Simulation is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy logic control system for anti-slip control under various parameters, the results of simulation prove the effectiveness of the proposed control system as compared with conventional PID controller and shows high anti-slip control performance under nonlinearity of brake dynamics.
Increased manufacturing activity has an impact on environmental quality degradation. Waste generated from manufacturing activities is one of the causes. Previous studies have referred to this waste as value uncaptured. Minimizing value uncaptured is a solution to improve environmental quality. This study aims to reduce value uncaptured by converting it into value captured. This process requires a value proposition design approach because of its advantages. One of the advantages of this approach is that it can improve existing or future products/services. To do so, this research uses a case study of a furniture company. To implement a converting process, a sustainable business model is proposed to solve this problem. This business model combines several methods: value proposition design, house of value and the product sustainability index matrix. Recently, the existing value proposition problem-solving has been using the value proposition design method. This research proposed implementing a house of value to replace the fitting process. The questionnaire is developed to obtain various value uncaptured in the company. To the weight of the value uncaptured, this research utilized the pairwise comparison method. Then, the weights could represent the importance of jobs. Based on the highest weight of these jobs, the alternative gains would be selected. To provide the weight of the gain creators and value captured, the house of value method is developed. Referring to three pillars of sustainability, the value captured should be considered. This research proposed implementing a product sustainability index which in turn produces eco-friendly products. This study produces “eco-friendly products” as sustainability value captured. The sustainability business model could be an alternative policy to minimize the existence of value uncaptured.
Value Captured (VC) is the benefit obtained by stakeholders (especially companies) from a manufacturing business. In principle, VC can be obtained from Value Uncaptured (VU) which often appears in the company’s manufacturing practices. This VU can take the form of inefficiencies (waste and by-products that are not used) in the company’s manufacturing process. The study of VU has provided guidance on VU in the manufacturing industry. VUs that have been identified need to be changed to VCs. Meanwhile, to convert VU to VC, the right method is needed. The concept of Circular Economy (CE) offers methods in an effort to convert VU to VC. Some alternative methods in the CE context include: maintenance, reuse, recycling, etc. CE can solve this problem, while also providing environmentally friendly solutions. This study provides an overview of the potential of turning VU into VC with several alternatives offered by the CE concept. This study also provides some examples of CE implementations that have successfully solved problems in offering company VCs.
