This study aims to determine the ability to understand the concept and adversity quotient of tenth-grade students on elasticity. This research is a single case study where the purpose of the study is to examine the conditions and situations that are happening, thus providing a picture based on facts found in the field. The design of this study is the post-only group design. Data analysis techniques using the Rasch model with a research sample of 30 students consisting of 11 male students and 19 female students. The instrument used in this study was a test of concept comprehension ability with multiple choice questions of 15 questions (r = 0.62) and an adversity quotient questionnaire with an Adversity Response Profile (ARP) questionnaire of 20 statements (r = 0.77). The results showed that in general the ability to understand concepts in each concept was low and the adversity quotient also showed that the majority of students had moderate fighting power (camper). The conclusion of this study is that there must be a treatment that makes students able to understand physical concepts such as models or learning methods and makes students able to face and overcome difficulties in learning physics.
Mastery of concepts was essential for further floating into higher thought processes. This research aims to determine the level of mastery microscope concept in high school students by using the MET (Microscope Essay Test). Mastery of concepts was described through cognitive processes described from indicators of competency achievement. The instrument was developed in the test items and non-tests with a validity of 0.66, which was applied to 24 students consisting of 14 girls and 10 boys in one of Bandung’s private schools. Data were analyzed using the Rasch model with the Winstep software. The results of this study show that the ability to explain and illustrate the function of the Microscope is very high, but aspects of determining the magnification of C4, the length of the C5 Microscope, and the design of the Microscope included in the category are very low. Mastery of Microscope Concepts with MET (Microscope Essay Test) analysis, based on the Rasch model, can be recommended to Educators to use learning models that can improve students’ mastery of concepts.
Students as future generations need to be equipped with high-level abilities, such as creative thinking and critical scientific thinking. The purpose of this research is to know how much creative thinking skills and scientific critical thinking are possessed by high school students in Bandung. In this research, the instrument used is a test-shaped essay as many as 12 questions about static fluid topic. The appreciation instruments used in this study were Critical Thinking (ACTA) type instruments. Tests of students’ critical thinking skills were analyzed using the Rasch model. The research population is a grade XI student in one high school in Bandung City. Research samples were selected with a random sampling technique of 32 students. Research results show that students have not been able to analyze the arguments, assess or evaluate, make decisions or solve problems, and make conclusions using inductive or deductive reasoning. It is shown by the low percentage of scientific critical thinking ability on every aspect, Critical thinking ability of 1 26.5%, Critical thinking ability of 2 23%, Critical thinking ability of 3 13%. It was concluded that the student’s scientific critical thinking skill level in the static fluid is motionless very low.
Perkembangan pendidikan saat ini harus mewujudkan pendidikan cerdas dengan memanfaatkan teknologi, menonjolkan kemampuan literasi serta memiliki kecakapan hidup abad 21. Dibutuhkan seorang pendidik yang menjadi penggerak yang mengutamakan peserta didik, mampu mengidentifikasi kebutuhan peserta didik serta melakukan berbagai inovasi didunia pendidikan. Berbagai persiapan harus dilakukan guna melahirkan seorang pendidik yang kompeten, salah satunya dengan mengikuti mata kuliah dasar belajar dan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini difokuskan pada hubungan timbal balik antara hasil belajar dengan penerapan model problem based learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Mahasiswa Pendidikan geografi berjumlah 32 Orang Universitas Pattimura dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian. Tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, analisis data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan adalah tahap dari penelitian ini. Analisis data dilakukan terhadap tugas mahasiswa, proses pembelajaran, serta analisis rencana pembelajaran semester (RPS). Dalam pembelajaran ini mahasiswa dapat mengikuti perkuliahan dengan cukup baik dilihat dari penerapan tugas yang memiliki dua kategori ketepatan dalam pembuatan tugas yaitu cukup baik dan baik serta dari hasil pembelajaran yang mengalami peningkatan dari 65% menjadi 87%. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat diketahui pembelajaran berbasis problem based learning yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah belajar dan pembelajaran dalam hal ini signifikan serta efektif terlaksana.
