Resonance Raman spectra obtained using laser excitation wavelengths varied to match each of two visible charge transfer absorption bands of a dmeric metal complex with two different diimine ligands vary significantly. The identification of characteristic ligand vibrations leads to the assignment of the two metal-to-ligand charge transfer transitions with respect to the ligand which accepts the charge in the excited state. The resonance Raman spectra provide information relating to the complex structures in Solution.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
