MWA of the kidney utilizing this model yields inconsistent geometrical lesions when applied near the renal collecting system. Additionally, microwave energy may be preferentially absorbed by the increased water content in the collecting system resulting in damage to it. Further study is needed to assess the attenuation of the microwave field in the kidney at different locations due to the kidneys heterogeneity.

A method for obtaining small (15-25 cm) plants of peach [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch] with all bud types present was developed by rooting peach cuttings following flower bud initiation. These small plants permit studies to be carried out in controlled-environmental chambers. The rest and dormancy periods of the rooted cuttings were similar to large field-grown trees of the same cultivar.

Our study examines the differential item functioning of the Counselor Competencies Scale—Revised (CCS‐R) scores due to respondents’ gender, the type of evaluation, and a combination of these two variables using a large sample (N = 1614). Implications of the findings are offered to inform counselor educators and supervisors using the CCS‐R and similar supervisee assessment measures.
