This study investigates the impact of several demographic factors (gender, age, marital status, and position, number of children and employment of the spouse) on work-family conflict and family-work conflict. The study includes the employees in manufacturing and service sectors in Lagos. According to the results in this study, the level of work-family conflict of males and females is high, and no statistically meaningful difference is found between their means. Logistic regression analysis shows that the log of odds of males experiencing work-family conflict is negatively correlated with education and job tenure, but positively correlated with marital status. The log of odds of females experiencing work-family conflict is negatively correlated with education whereas it is positively correlated with marital status. Job tenure has an impact on family-work conflict of males, and age of children and having to care elderly parents are noted to have an impact on family-work conflict of females.
This research paper examines the statistical significance of various problems in implementation of ecommerce solutions in business organizations in Nigeria. Nigeria has witnessed substantial progress in the field of ICT-related infrastructural development in the first decade of the 21 st century. However, despite these positive developments and abundant resources, Nigeria has not been able to catch up with the pace of digital development as the rest of the world. This research paper attempts to identify the problems in implementing e-commerce in Nigeria. On the basis of analysis of data through hierarchical multiple regression modeling and multiple response analysis of the data, this study identifies the statistically significant problems in the implementation of e-commerce in Nigeria and outlines the key policy options that this country, can consider in formulation of policies to stimulate, support and maximize the effect e-commerce has on their economies.
This paper employed times series econometric methods to test the theoretically-grounded link between customer retention and customer perceived quality.The results suggest that customer retention and quality have a stable positive linkbinding them together, which allows them to move together in the same directionover time. Importantly, empirical evidence of long term Granger-type causalityrunning from quality to retention, was found in support of this positive linkFinally, customers' perception of quality yesterday has a positive impact on theirlevel of retention today. It suggests that customers' memories of quality lingeron beyond the current period to positively impact customer retention levels inthe future. In this sense, quality is an intangible strategic asset in which servicemanagers should invest their capital.
From a classroom management perspective, this study aims to analyze the interaction between students and mentors on the Facebook class websites and students’ social networking via Facebook by using Facebook provided functions. The research focuses on the students’ perceptions of Facebook as a class website. The survey results indicate that most students express positive attitudes towards their Facebook class websites in terms of system interface, feeling exchange, and information communication. The qualitative analysis yielded five themes: the role of the class leader, knowledge sharing, system interface, the role of the mentor, and the value of the class website. Istraživanje se usredotočuje na mišljenje studenata o Facebook-u kao razrednoj internetskoj stranici. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da većina studenata ima pozitivan stav prema svojim razrednim Facebook mrežnim stranicama u smislu sučelja sustava, razmjenjivanja osjećaja i komunikacije informacija.
