Characterized by limited or almost inexistent social skills, autistic children imperatively need social integration, in order to ensure a positive social environment in which they could imitate their colleagues and develop better means of communication. A sample of 60 teachers from public and special schools, aged between 29 and 50 years old, was assessed using Inclusion of Children with Special Needs in Public Schools Questionnaire in order to analyse their opinions and attitudes towards inclusive education. A sample of 75 children (aged between 8 and 12 years old) with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, with whom these teachers interact, was assessed with Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System II. We found significant differences regarding communication, community use and self-care, social skills and general adaptive composite (GAC score), between children in special and public schools. Furthermore, teachers emphasize that: (1) society, in general, has a tolerant attitude toward children with educational special needs; (2) families with such children choose a public school mostly in order to integrate their children in society and to ensure them the right to equal chances; (3) differential assessment strategies are needed for these children and adaptation of the curriculum to their needs; (4) children with special needs have a real chance of success in a public school. Results are analysed in relationship with teacher's roles, opinions and attitudes toward the integration of autistic children in public schools.
Humakind has been preoccupied with defining what determines the new ideas in someone's mind, hence manifesting a real interest in studying creativity. The study is based on the Imagination and Creativity Test adapted by Roco (2001) after Torrance, Osborn, Guilford, Wallach, Kogan and Meunier, composed of figural and verbal creativity tests, focusing on the evaluation of fluidity, flexibility, originality. The study was conducted on 133 preteenagers and primary school children from Constanta.The objectives and the hypotheses of the research are: the identification of the significant differences between the figural and the verbal creativity, depending on gender and age level; the identification of the significant differences on fluidity, flexibility and originality level, depending on gender and age level.There was no record of significant differences between the primary school children and the preteenagers or between girls and boys, from the creativity development point of view; fluidity and flexibility are relatively similar as development level, both for the two age categories and genderwise. We recorded significant differences on the originality level, between the primary school children and the preteenagers.The verbal creativity is more developed, compared to the figural one, for the primary school children and the preteenagers. There was a record of the same significant differences concerning the development of verbal and figural creativity, gender-wise. The study offers arguments for the obtained results, presenting a topical and modern perspective on the approached subject, and it is one of the few studies on this theme that have been conducted in Romania.
The coronavirus pandemic has brought many changes, requiring the identification of new ways of working, interaction and lifestyle. This created a context conducive to questions about the social order, the need for investment and the areas where such investment is needed in the future. Strengths and weaknesses were visible, both in a global context and in a European context; new challenges have arisen that society as a whole has to face. Digital technologies are a key component in collective efforts to address the virus and support new ways of living and doing business in this exceptional time. The European Commission has taken various measures to address the various aspects of the pandemic, and digital technologies play a vital role in this. Ensuring infrastructure, connectivity and rules of use are an important goal to enable the European (but also global) population to remain active and safe. Through this paper, we aimed to measure students' perception of online courses, the technology used to conduct online courses and the quality of teaching by teachers.
