Background-There is growing recognition that oxidative stress plays a role in the pathogeneses of myocardial repair/remodeling following infarction (MI). NADPH oxidase is a major source for cardiac reactive oxygen species production. Herein, we studied the importance of NADPH oxidase in development of cardiac oxidative stress and its induced molecular and cellular changes related to myocardial repair/remodeling.
High intensity interval training (HIIT) can elicit a greater training stimulus to improve maximal aerobic capacity and frequently applied to professional sports training. Although selected metabolism pathways have been examined,...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
