Introduction: The prevalence of CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) is increasing every year, and the main modality of RRT (Renal Replacement Therapy) is hemodialysis. In addition to affecting the nutritional status, patients with CKD have qualitative and quantitative changes in their lipid profile. Objectives: To analyze changes in the nutritional status and lipid profile of chronic kidney patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy followed by the Nutrition Service of a Reference Center Hospital in the North/Northeast of Brazil, from January 2018 to January 2020. Methods: evaluation of annual nutritional monitoring forms and lipid profile of patients in the hemodialysis service of IMIP-PE. Results: As for BMI, the largest number were classified as eutrophic. Most presented with dyslipidemia, highlighting hypertriglyceridemia and low HDL-C. Conclusions: The protective effect that high BMI provides to CKD patients on HD should be further investigated as there is protein depletion and there may be subclinical malnutrition, and regular monitoring of nutritional status and lipid profile is essential.
