Purpose The many obstacles and difficulties to carry out research in the field of physical education are the gaps and urgency in this research. This study aims to investigate perceptions from lecturers regarding the conveniences and difficulties when carrying out research in physical education during COVID-19. Material and Methods This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods through online-based in-depth interviews. Five lecturers from two universities in Indonesia and one lecturers from universities in Hungary were willing to participate in this research. The way to select them was by sending an email to their respective universities and only 10 people participated in this study. However, 4 people did not qualify because they did not have 10 years of research experience. All participants signed a consent letter to participate in this study. The interview started with explanation from participants regarding their research experiences, the conveniences and the difficulties faced when carrying out research during pandemic. After the activity was completed, the results of the interviews were collected and then a qualitative statistical analysis was carried out In this study, statistical analysis used thematic method in the form of interviews transcribed word for word.The transcripts were read repeatedly by researchers and three experts, coding and a collection of phrases were arranged into themes. Results The findings of this study indicate that there were several conveniences in carrying out research physical education during the COVID-19 period, including the implementation can be done anywhere and anytime, cost-effective and saving time, data collection is easier and faster. Meanwhile, the difficulties were in obtaining research subjects, subjects who have inadequate technological literacy, poor internet network and inaccurate data. Conclusions Thus, the conveniences and difficulties of carrying out research were important and must be continuously evaluated, in order to ensure the study able to conduct optimally even during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
The purpose of the study was to identify and analyze the anthropometric and biomotor skills of athletes with disabilities in sitting volleyball in terms of injury characteristics and quality of physical condition. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. Data analysis used descriptive percentage analysis technique with the help of SPSS version 24.0 application. The results of this study indicated that anthropometric and biomotor in terms of injury characteristics and quality of physical condition as an important component to improve the performance of seated volleyball athletes in terms of injury characteristics and quality of physical condition. In conclusion, to improve the performance and achievement of athletes, one of them is to identify injuries and the quality of physical conditions. Terjadi penurunan kondisi fisik pada atlet bola voli Paralympic Indonesia secara drastis di era saat ini, sehingga hal tersebut berdampak kepada penurunan performa atlet khususnya berkaitan dengan servis atas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis korelasi antara kekuatan otot bahu dan daya ledak otot lengan terhadap keterampilan servis atas atlet bola voli duduk Paralimpiade Indonesia. Pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif korelasional yang digunakan dalam penelitian. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh atlet bola voli putri yang duduk di Paralympic Indonesia yang berjumlah 12 orang putri. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui tes servis atas kepada sasaran angka. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi berganda pada taraf signifikan 0.05. Analisis data secara keseluruhan menggunakan bantuan IBM SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian adalah menunjukan bahwa ada korelasi antara kekuatan otot bahu terhadap keterampilan servis atas atlet, ada korelasi antara daya ledak otot lengan terhadap servis atas atlet, dan ada korelasi antara kekuatan otot bahu dan daya ledak otot lengan secara simultan terhadap servis atas atlet sitting volleyball Paralimpiade Indonesia. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa untuk memiliki servis atas yang optimal, maka atlet harus memperhatikan faktor kondisi fisik kekuatan otot bahu dan daya ledak otot lengan, karena kedua aspek tersebut sangat berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap performa servis atas.
<p>The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes in the long jump squat style class VII B SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta in academic year 2017/2018.<br />This study is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, and each cycle consists of 2 meetings. Research subjects of students of class VII B, amounting to 32 students. The data source comes from students, teachers, and<br />researchers. Data collection techniques use tests and observations. Data validity<br />is by using data triangulation technique. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis technique using percentage technique.<br />The results of data analysis showed an increase learning outcomes long jump squat style as follows. The percentage of completeness in the pre-cycles is 31.25%or 10 students, unfinished 68.75% or 22 students. The percentage of completeness in the first cycle is 46.88% or 15 students, untargets 53.12% or 17 students. While on the percentage of completeness in the second cycle is 81.25% or 26 students, untargets 18.75% or 6 students. Learning outcomes long jump squat style has reached a target attainment of 80%.<br />Based on the analysis above it can be concluded; that the application of the method of approach play can improve learning outcomes in the long jump squat style class VII B SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta in academic year 2017/2018.</p>
