Keberhasilan pendidikan tidak bisa terlepas dari peran penting guru. Guru perlu mengembangkan diri untuk menjadi profesional dalam memberikan layanan pendidikan kepada siswa melalui optimalisasi diri dengan sejumlah kompetensi yaitu kompetensi kepribadian, pedagogik, sosial, dan profesional. Diperlukan adanya suatu stimulus yang memfasilitasi tercapainya profesionalitas guru, salah satunya adalah dengan program kegiatan pelatihan guru profesional. Kegiatan pelatihan sejenis ini perlu dievaluasi agar dapat memberikan manfaat yang efektif dan signifikan. Salah satu bentuk evaluasi program pelatihan yang dapat diimplementasikan adalah model evaluasi empat level Kirkpatrick yang setiap levelnya merepresentasikan sebuah sekuen dari setiap tahapan untuk mengevaluasi program. Empat level evaluasi tersebut terdiri dari: Level 1- Reaction (Reaksi), Level 2- Learning (Pembelajaran), Level 3- Behavior (Perilaku), dan Level 4- Results (Hasil/Dampak). Kegiatan evaluasi dilakukan secara sekuen pada setiap level, karena setiap level memberi dampak pada level berikutnya. Dengan adanya evaluasi menggunakan model ini diharapkan bisa memberikan deskripsi kualitatif yang komprehensif dan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan kepada penyelenggara dan stakeholder dalam menindaklanjuti program selanjutnya
The purpose of this research is to describe implementation of Socratic Method in increasing student's argumentation skill and cognitive knowledge of pre-service of primary science teacher. This learning syntax in this research consists of four stages namely elicit, clarify, test, and decide. The research method used in this research is Quasy Experiment with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. To know effectiveness of treatment, two groups are given once pretest and posttest. The result of the research shows that two groups have mean difference of pretest-posttest is significantly different for argumentation skill based on Wilcoxon test (sig < 0.05). In addition, the mean difference of posttest-posttest (experiment to control group) is also significantly different based on Withney U test (sig < 0.05). Meanwhile for effectiveness of treatment on experiment group (0.68) is higher than control group (0.46). On the other hands, result of the research shows that two groups have mean difference of pretest-posttest is significantly different for cognitive knowledge based on Wilcoxon test (sig < 0.05). In contrast, the mean difference of posttest-posttest (experiment to control group) is not significantly different based on Withney U test (sig < 0.05). Meanwhile for effectiveness of treatment on experiment group (0.44) is higher than control group (0.23). Over all, implementation of Socratic Method can increase the student's argumentation skill and cognitive knowledge.
This research was conducted to test the effectiveness of the application of the learning model of POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) by integrating technology in constructing technological literacy of elementary school science teacher candidates. The study was conducted by comparing learning using the POE model by integrating technology in the experimental class with without integrating technology in the control class. The research method used was a quasi-experimental research design with The Randomized Pretest -Posttest Control Group Design. The sample of this research is the students of elementary science teacher candidates selected by cluster random sampling. The research instrument used in the form of a test device to measure technological literacy with a reliability index of 0.94. The results showed that significantly learning using the POE model by integrating technology was more effective in increasing technological literacy compared to learning without integrating technology. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menguji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) dengan mengintegrasi teknologi dalam mengkonstruk technological literacy mahasiswa calon guru IPA Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membandingkan antara pembelajaran menggunakan model POE dengan mengintegrasi teknologi pada kelas eksperimen dengan tanpa mengintegrasi teknologi pada kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian The Randomized Pretest -Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa calon guru IPA SD yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa perangkat tes untuk mengukur technological literacy dengan indeks reliabilitas sebesar 0,94. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara signifikan pembelajaran menggunakan model POE dengan mengintegrasi teknologi lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan technological literacy dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tanpa mengintegrasi teknologi.
