Background: Nutrition is one thing that is important and very needed by the body. Indonesia has various kinds of social media that several users often play. One social media that has quite a lot of users is Instagram. During this pandemic, knowledge can come from anywhere. They are starting from teachers, friends, webinars, and so on. This knowledge sharing can be done by utilizing various applications such as Zoom, Google Meetings, etc. In addition, social media applications such as Instagram can provide users with various information and knowledge. Objectives: The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the influence of using social media, Instagram, for nutrition education. Discussions: This type of article is written using qualitative research using literature studies. This study uses searches on the Google search website, Google Scholar, and Research Gate with the keywords "Influence of Instagram Media as an Instrument", Nutrition Education Media", "Effectiveness of Instagram Media", and "Nutrition Education Media". Articles were selected using the PRISMA flowchart. Conclusions: The results are that the young generation can study anytime and anywhere. The Instagram application can have a positive impact on users if managed properly. Not only that, by using the Instagram application, users can get useful information such as webinars related to nutrition and users can follow these activities properly.
Background. Nutrition care practices that do not meet hospital standards cause several barriers to the needs and preferences of each patient. One of the obstacles often faced by hospitals in efforts to cure patients. The research objective is to get an overview of the role of internal and external factors in the application of nutrition care process (NCP) at the Hope and Prayer Hospital of Bengkulu City. Method. Qualitative research with a Phenomelogy approach. Phenomenology is a method carried out by researchers to find out phenomena that occur naturally. The phenomenological method emphasizes human experience and how humans interpret their experiences. Results. The process of nutrition care process (NCP) that has not been carried out optimally. In the process of implementing a dietitious NCP expect improvement in the work system between health workers and simplification of the NCP system in hospitals, and not being spared dietitically expects to be supported by hospital policies that do not burden dietitics. Conclusion. Internal factors in implementing NCP are already good, in terms of knowledge and work motivation. External factors, there are several issues regarding collaborative work among health workers in the form of authority and responsibilities as well as confusing hospital policies.
General Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition is a daily food composition based on the type and amount of nutrients, all of which have been adapted to the body’s daily needs. Nutrition students have practical experience in educating balanced nutrition, which they have learned during their learning. Even so, they still experience nutritional problems and still need to comply: General Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition in their daily lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the intention of nutrition students in implementing general guidelines for balanced nutrition. This study uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The population of this study is nutrition students, Instagram application users, and the subject nutrition Instagram account followers who have the content of the General Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition. Study 1 was quantitative from a survey of 114 respondents who got the results of good intentions in the 82% and behaviour 83%. The results of the Pearson statistical test between the relationship between intention and behavior in the application of general guidelines for balanced nutrition with a p-value of 0.000, this result can be concluded that the value is smaller than 0.05 with a correlation coefficient value or r table 0.424. Study 2 conducted in-depth interviews with 6 respondents selected by purposive sampling from 114 respondents with the results of the interviews showed that these six have a strong intention to implement and educate the General Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition. The author’s observations visited respondents to see diving activities a day, and the respondents found that they carried out two messages from the ten messages of balanced nutrition contained in the General Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition. Nutrition students need real action in implementing the General Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition in their daily lives. However, nutrition students have a good intention category in writing and verbally but not with what they practice daily.
