The main objective of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge and understanding of the Dumati village community in general about the importance of English language in relation to managing tourist objects. The future of the world tourism industry has such a bright prospect as stated by the World Tourism Organization (WTO), even the world tourism organization estimates that tourism will grow with an average growth of 4.2% per year. One of the regions that will experience the greatest growth rates are countries in Asia, including Indonesia. Of course, it is very important for the parties to receive foreign language assistance to the community in implementing the concept of tourism for the realization of sustainable tourism. And how to do it so that tourists do not experience language barriers so that sustainable tourism can be realized. The current community service uses focus group discussion and in-depth interviews that aims to develop the community’s awareness toward the importance of English language mastery as the key factor for sustainable tourism in Gorontalo. This activity received a very good response and went well. Dumati village officials and the village community were very enthusiastic about participating in this seminar, it was seen from the many people who participated by asking questions and discussing the concept of English language that could be developed in the Embung Dumati tourism village. This community service is hoped to form basic information on how’s the community’s level of English and how to develop from there.
The purpose of the study was to describe the existence of a Religious Tourism Village during the Covid19 pandemic towards the best national tourist village. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the main data sources being observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. From the results of the study, it was found that Bongo Village as a Religious Tourism Village located in Gorontalo Regency has become the best Tourism Village at the National level, this is proof that the management of Bongo Village as a Religious Tourism village continues to be maximized despite experiencing several obstacles due to the impact of the COVID19 pandemic. The strategy taken is to always publish the uniqueness of the attraction and the cooperation between tourism managers and the community as well as government support, both central and local governments.
Stakeholders are individuals or groups who are actively involved and have a much-needed role in the sustainability of development, including tourism. The sustainability of tourism is very much determined by the active role of stakeholders in the development and management of tourist destinations. Various problems in the development of tourist destinations often occur, this can be seen from several tourist destinations that used to be visited by tourists, but are no longer considered by tourists. This study aims to examine and analyze the role of stakeholders in the development of tourist destinations by means of literature review research. Based on the results of the literature analysis that the stakeholders include; 1) Primary stakeholders (primary), 2) Supporting stakeholders (secondary), 3) Key stakeholders.
Indonesia as an archipelagic country has a very big opportunity to develop coastal tourism. This type of tourism is increasingly favored by the community both among children, youth and adolescents as well as the elderly. One of sectors being developed in the world today is coastal tourism. Advances in technology, easy access and transportation have a positive impact in developing coastal tourism. The research method is a literature review with descriptive qualitative research type. The results showed that several things that must be considered in the development of coastal tourism destinations are; 1. Amenity (tourist facilities, both main and supporting facilities). 2. Accessibility (access roads and transportation systems to reach wista destination locations). 3. Ancillary Service (an institution or a government or private institution capable of providing services for tourists). Theoretical studies related to developer strategy for developing coastal tourism destinations are salient to always be developed and updated in realizing the sustainability of a tourist destination.
This research aims to analyze the strategy of preserving local culture to develop cultural tourism. This study is a form of strategic assessment effort to find solutions in the development of tourist destinations, especially cultural tourism. This study used the literature review method by collecting several references from previous research related to tourism development and preservation strategies. From the results of the analysis, it was found that one form of strategy that needs to be done is a marketing strategy to increase the number of tourist visits by creating a branding of cultural tourist attractions as a quality tourist attraction, maintaining the culture or customs and characteristics of local communities, conducting promotions via the internet or through the internet. brochures to introduce cultural tourist attractions to be better known by tourists, as well as build an image of tourist attractions to fix problems that result in a decreased number of visits
