This study discusses the violation of the maxims proposed by Lecch in the dialogue of the drama script which are insulting, arrogant, and insulting. The purpose of this study is to describe the violation of politeness maxims in Bakdi Soemanto's drama script. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Sources of data in this study in the form of a drama script by Bakdi Soemanto in the book Collection of Teen Dramas, namely Danger Signs, Wall Magazine, A Pair of Old Pigeons, and Pung ..? Pung..?. The research technique uses the listening and note-taking technique. This study uses the technique of data validity triangulation theory. Then, this study uses interactive data analysis techniques, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study can be concluded that Bakdi Soemanto's drama script has six types of violations of the maxim of politeness principle. From the four drama scripts, there are 86 data of violations of the maxim of politeness, namely 16 data of violations of the maxim of wisdom, 15 data of violations of the maxim of acceptance, 21 data of violations of the maxim of generosity. , 11 data on the violation of the maxim of humility, 14 data on the violation of the maxim of compatibility, and 9 data on the violation of the maxim of sympathy.
