At the end of 2019 China was shocked by a very deadly virus outbreak, Covid-19. Then in 2020, this virus outbreak became a global pandemic that resulted in many life settings being forced to change suddenly, one of which was teaching and learning activities in schools. Indonesia also immediately adjusts the conditions to minimize the spread of this virus. Schools and universities agreed to change learning activities towards distance learning systems. However, the poor implementation has actually made the situation worse, where students feel a lot of stress due to distance learning management is not done comprehensively. This article aims to analyze the implementation of distance learning systems carried out by Indonesian education in the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Literature studies from various reports and scientific articles as well as in-depth interviews were also conducted with samples of students, teachers and parents, both in rural and urban environments in Indonesia which were most affected by the Covid-19 virus. The results of the analysis conclude that Indonesia has prepared virtual infrastructure well, but the factors of teachers and schools still need to understand more about the essence of distance learning. Students have low self-regulated learning so they are less able to regulate their distance learning activities, teachers tend to stutter about technology, and parents lack understanding of the nature of teaching and learning activities carried out at home.
Abstract: Students are currently generation Z and Alfa who have the characteristics of being digital native, where their lives are very closely related to digital technology, especially Android devices. Currently there is also a Covid-19 pandemic situation which demands that learning be carried out remotely. Based on this, android-based learning media is needed and it is hoped that teachers can develop it. However, making Android-based learning media is notoriously difficult because teachers must first understand complex coding. Seeing this reality, a national training was conducted for Indonesian teachers to develop an Android-based mobile learning application that will be used as a learning medium. The training is conducted virtually through YouTube live stremaing as well as intensive guidance by instructors in classes at Google Classroom for one month. The results of this dedication show that the participants are able to develop an Android-based mobile learning application without coding for the subjects they are teaching, then use it as a tool in implementing remote learning in the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The results of the discussion with the training participants, their students felt interested and enthusiastic in using the mobile learning application that had been developed by the teacher. then use it as a tool in implementing remote learning in the covid-19 pandemic situation. This research is a development research that aims to produce learning innovations in the psychomotor domain for practice in archival subjects. The research design adapts the Borg and Gall model which consists of eight stages, namely, (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision, (6) products testing, (7) product revision, (8) mass production. This research was conducted at the Office Administration Vocational School in Malang City. Data collection is done through filling out a questionnaire to determine the feasibility of the product being developed. The result of this research and development is a learning media called STELAR which is feasible and valid to be applied in the learning process, especially in the Office Administration Department. This is based on the results of the validation of material experts and media experts who obtained an average score of 93.53%, while from the test on students the results obtained 90%. Therefore, STELAR learning media can be used as an alternative learning media for practice in the Office Administration Department.
In 2021, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia will begin to promote an independent curriculum. This curriculum was developed to support the recovery of learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On the other hand, students in the 21st century also need to be empowered with critical thinking skills. So that relevant learning tools are needed to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to produce an economics learning module based on discovery learning in an independent curriculum to improve students' critical thinking skills. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall model. The instruments used in this study were expert validation sheets and critical thinking skills tests given to students in class X6 and X7 at the State Senior High School 5 Taruna Brawijaya, Kediri City. Based on the results of the validation of module experts and material experts on the products developed, the average value of 91.5% indicates that the discovery learning-based economics teaching module is very feasible to be used in the learning process. Meanwhile, based on the results of the independent sample t-test in the Equal variances section, it is assumed that the sig value is known. (2-tailed) of 0.000<0.05. So it can be said that there is a significant difference between the average student learning outcomes in the post-test experimental class and post-test control class. Based on the output descriptive statistics table, it is also known that the average score for the experimental class post-test is 89.50, while the control class post-test is 85.30. So it can be said that this product is effectively used in learning based on the results of the post-test in the experimental class which shows a higher score than the control class. Therefore, it is recommended that the class X economics teacher use this teaching module as an alternative support in the learning process.
