The purpose of this design is inspiring teenagers to be proud to wear Javanese appearance and interest in Javanese philosophical values. In order for the character can be accepted and imitate by teenagers, the clothes and attributes of the character must be in a modern shape and they can wear in daily lives. To achieve that, the Javanese philosophy of the character must be transformed into contemporary shape. The transformation method uses the Atumics method which can combine elements of traditional culture with elements of contemporary culture at the level of concepts and visuals. Its hope can be a trigger for young people to wear it first and then found out the Javanese philosophy on objects that they wear. To represent Javanese values in character design, this character is made in endomorph type because there is a philosophy that Javanese is descendant of Semar. But it turns out dislike by teenager. Recommendation to explore the endomorph type to be liked.
Penelitian ini berawal dari adanya bukti kecenderungan pembelajaran menggambar yang lebih progresif di dalam ruang lingkup komunitas. Komunitas menggambar yang berada di Malang cukup berkembang dengan pesat namun yang menjadi sampel utama pada penelitian ini adalah satu komunitas yang berdiri pada tahun 2017 dan sudah berkembang dengan lebih dari 20 anggota tetap. Kegiatan yang diobservasi dalam komunitas berupa lokakarya, pertemuan rutin dan juga pameran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengumpulan data kualitatif dengan cara wawancara juga studi lapangan atau observasi tindakan langsung selama enam bulan. Hasil wawancara kemudian diolah secara kualitatif kemudian menghasilkan adanya pola pembelajaran yang berbeda dan cenderung lebih personal dalam perkembangan anggota komunitas. Perkembangan ini yang kemudian memberikan ruang eksplorasi yang cukup besar dan berpotensi mengembangkan kemampuan menggambar anggota komunitas. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari penelitian awal mengenai pembelajaran berbasis komunitas ini adalah personalisasi tujuan dalam pembelajaran menggambar terbukti cukup efektif bagi anggota komunitas untuk berkembang dan siap bersaing dalam industri kreatif, khususnya dalam bidang menggambar baik manual maupun digital.
Evaluating the effectiveness of advertising is very important in understanding whether advertising can affect expectations and what changes need to be made to improve its performance. This study aims to measure and analyze the effectiveness of Sasa's "Welcome Back Micin Swag Generation" ads from PT. Sasa Inti among the millennial generations. The data in this study were collected from 280 respondents. The analysis technique of the data used is the EPIC model, which covers four dimensions: empathy, persuasion, impact and communication. The results of the analysis of the EPIC model in each dimension are empathy = 4,644, persuasion = 3,899, impact = 4,031, communication = 4,497. Based on the four dimensions examined, when they are inserted into the range of the decision scale of the EPIC model, the result of all four are effective, even for the dimensions of empathy and communication are in a very effective scale. With an EPIC rate of 4,268, the "Welcome Back Micin Swag Generation" indicator can be described as effective. Keywords: effectiveness of advertising; EPIC model; Sasa MSG Abstrak: Melakukan evaluasi terhadap efektivitas iklan sangat penting dilakukan agar dapat mengetahui apakah iklan yang dibuat dapat berpengaruh sesuai harapan dan melihat perubahan apa yang perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menganalisis mengenai efektivitas iklan Sasa “Welcome Back Micin Swag Generation” yang dilakukan oleh PT. Sasa Inti pada kalangan generasi milenial. Data dari penelitian ini diperoleh dari 280 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah EPIC Model yang mencakup empat dimensi yaitu empathy, persuasion, impact, dan communication. Hasil dari penelitian analisis EPIC Model pada masing-masing dimensi adalah empathy = 4.644, persuasion = 3.899, impact = 4.031, communication = 4.497. Berdasarkan empat dimensi yang diteliti, apabila dimasukkan kedalam rentang skala keputusan EPIC Model maka didapatkan hasil keempatnya efektif, bahkan untuk dimensi empathy dan communication berada pada rentang sangat efektif. The book Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini (NKCTHI) containing simple sentences and illustrations has attracted the attention of many Indonesian people and has become a best seller book since its release by Gramedia at the end of 2018. This study aims to reveal the meaning behind three simple illustrations of its characters named Ekso, Ego, and Emo by Marchella FP as the illustrator and author of this book. The approach used is descriptive qualitative using Charles Sanders Peirce's theory of semiotic analysis through unlimited semiosis. The results of this study illustrate that the characters of Ekso, Ego, and Emo are embodiments of the id, ego, and superego which are part of the formation of the human personality proposed by Sigmund Freud. After being analyzed using Peirce's semiotics, it can be found that the three illustrations contain meanings about human self-control in living a more peaceful life. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna dibalik tiga ilustrasi sederhana berupa karakter yang dinamai Ekso, Ego, dan Emo oleh Marchella FP sebagai ilustrator sekaligus penulis buku ini. Pendeketan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teori analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce melalui semiosis tak terhingga (unlimited semiosis). Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa karakter Ekso, Ego, dan Emo merupakan perwujudan dari id, ego, dan superego yang merupakan bagian dari struktur pembentuk kepribadian manusia yang dikemukakan oleh Sigmund Freud. Setelah dianalisis menggunakan semiotika Peirce, dapat ditemukan bahwa ketiga ilustrasi tersebut mengandung makna tentang kontrol diri manusia dalam menjalani kehidupan agar lebih damai. The Ace Diary is an online counseling app that provides art therapy features, receptive music therapy, journaling, a chat room, emergency calling, loving quotes, and scheduling based on quadrant-time of 4th generation time management information architecture. Furthermore, counselors can monitor activities on the app. These features had not been integrated before, which is why a basic design was developed for this purpose by using the M. Asimov model to design this app. The visual strategy used for showing a typical journaling diary is lines with brushstroke and calming pastel colors. Ace Diary has six primary pages: drawing, venting, scheduling, room chat and calling, quotes, and record tracking. The different group pages have different background colors so that audiences can distinguish the page’s functions. Students’ picture profiles are created using an illustration in the same design style to keep identities confidential.
