Mucuna bracteata and Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (OPEFB) forages are large amount of palm oil plantation wastes, but they have not optimally utilized yet. This study analyzed the compost from forage of M. bracteata combined with OPEFB. The study used a complete non factorial randomized design with different treatment composition of M. bracteata and OPEFB as compost material, that is: 100% OPEFB, 75% OPEFB + 25% M. bracteata, 50% OPEFB + 50% M.bracteata, 25% OPEFB + 75% M. bracteata, and 100% M. bracteata. The results showed the differences of M. bracteata and OPEFB as forage composition were significantly affected the content of N, K, and compost yield but did not significantly affect the content of P and C/N ratio of compost. The average of compost C-organic content is 35.97-39.14%, N is 2.3-4.42%, P is 0.53-0.64%, K is 3.75-6.59%, C/N ratio is 8.9-17.9, and compost yield is 56-69%. The greater the composition of M. bracteata, the higher the N content of the compost, but K content is lower and vice versa. If the composting was using OPEFB and M. bracteata as the materials, it is suggested to use a composition of 75% OPEFB and 25% M. bracteata.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Palm Oil Fresh Fruit Bunch transportation system. This research was conducted at Air Batu Estate Afdeling I PTPN IV, which is located in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted in July to August 2018. The method used in this study was a descriptive method by taking data in the field about the arrangement of transportation of oil palm fresh fruit bunches. Observations made included information on the Air Batu estate, estimated daily harvest, transport transportation, daily production and transportation, and obstacles or obstacles to the transportation process. Based on observations made, it was found that: (1) The average loading process time for the rotation II was 64.22 minutes, the average time of the transport process from Afdeling I to PKS for the rotation II was 28.68 minutes, and the average time average unloading process at PKS is duration 18.30 minutes, (2) Based on the SPC for the value of Cp and Cpk for loading, transporting and unloading processing time can be said to be less effective with Cp and Cpk values <1, (3) Average number of trips per day in August 2018 which is 2 trips / day. The theoretical trip calculation results are 4 trips / day, (4) The average number of daily harvest production in August 2018 in Afdeling I of Batu Air Farm 34,542 kg TBS. Daily crop yields are still below the daily harvest planning target of 38,307 kg FFB, and (5) The speed of the truck is 12.6 km/hr, this is due to the damaged and bupy road.
Tanaman kelapa sawit memiliki limbah seperti pelepah kelapa sawit yang dapat digunakan sebagai nutrisi tanaman dalam bentuk kompos. Untuk mempercepat proses pengomposan pelepah kelapa sawit dapat diberikan penambahan tepung jagung sebagai nutrisi mikroorganisme yang berperan dalam mendegradasi daun kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kompos C/N, kompos C-Organik, kandungan nitrogen kompos, dan lama pengomposan daun kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan 5 perlakuan: kontrol P0 (pelepah 2kg), P1 (pelepah 2 kg dan tepung jagung 0,2 kg), P3 (pelepah 2 kg dan tepung jagung 0,4 kg), P4 (pelepah 2 kg dan 0, 6 kg tepung jagung), P5 (2 kg pelepah dan 0,8 kg makanan inti). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu dan pH kompos dari daun kelapa sawit sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia. Hasil peengomposan kadar C-Organik tertinggi terdapat pada komposisi 0,6 kg tepung jagung dengan 2 kg pelepah daun sawit dengan nilai 40,11% dan terendah ditemukan pada pemberian 0,8 kg tepung jagung pada 2 kg pelepah daun kelapa sawit dengan nilai 37,27%. Kandungan nitrogen tertinggi ditemukan pada P3 dengan pemberian tepung jagung 0,4 kg pada 2 kg pelepah daun sawit dengan nilai 2,61% sementara nilai terendah pada P1 dengan penambahan 0,2 kg tepung jagung pada 2 kg pelepah dengan nilai 1,97 %. Hasil rasio C/N tertinggi dijumpai pada P2 (tepung jagung 0,2 kg pada pelepah 2 kg daun sawit dengan nilai 20,10% dan nilai terendah pada perlakuan P3 pada pemberian 0,6 kg tepung jagung pada 2 kg pelepah daun sawit dengan nilai 14,92%.
One way to produce good seeds is from fertilization factors, both artificial fertilizers or biological fertilizers. Palm oil growing media is soil in which there are several nutrients needed by plants, one of which is Phosphor (P). The role of P in plants is important for cell growth, formation of fine roots and root hairs, strengthening the stem stands. However, there are still many P nutrients that are bound in the soil so with that one effort to overcome the low phosphate available in the soil is by utilizing a group of microorganisms. Microorganisms and organic matter, each of which can produce organic acids that chew metal in the soil so that phosphate becomes available to plants.
Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di rumah kaca Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan (STIPAP) Medan. Waktu Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret-Mei. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan 5 perlakuan; P0 Kontrol (2 kg pelepah), P1 (2 kg pelepah dan 0,2 kg PKC), P2 {(2 kg pelepah dan 0,4 Palm Kernel Cake (PKC)}, P3 (2 kg pelepah dan 0,6 PKC), dan P4 (2 kg pelepah dan 0,8 PKC) dengan ulangan masing-masing perlakuan 5x. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perlakuan PKC kompos pelepah kelapa sawit memiliki kadar C-Organik tertinggi (40,97%) terdapat pada perlakuan P0 (Kontrol) dan yang terendah dengan nilai 38,53% terdapat pada perlakuan P2 (2 kg pelepah dan 0,4 kg PKC). Hasil Perlakuan PKC terhadap kadar N (Nitrogen) kompos pelepah kelapa sawit. Kadar N (Nitrogen) tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan P2 (2 kg pelepah dan 0,4 kg PKC) dengan nilai 3,43% dan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan P0 (Kontrol) dengan nilai 2,23%. Perlakuan PKC terhadap kadar rasio C/N kompos pelepah kelapa sawit. Rasio C/N tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan P0 (Kontrol) dengan nilai 18,14 dan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan P1 (2 kg pelepah dan 0,2 kg PKC) dengan nilai 12,32. Suhu, pH, Kadar N (Nitrogen) dan Rasio C/N pada semua perlakuan telah memenuhi SNI 19-7030-2004.
