This issue introduces the history column initiated during the Communications Society's 70th anniversary year. Including history articles in IEEE Communications Magazine was among the most highly ranked interests of the magazine's readers. This editorial gives an overview of the Society's History Committee and outlines specific activities aimed at "capturing, curating and making easily available" our shared history. IEEE Communications Magazine plays an important role as part of that process. Also, observing that "the members are the history," this column encourages submission of communications history articles to the magazine.
