Perguruan Tinggi memiliki kontribusi yang cukup besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) di sebuah negara. Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), dan Universitas Indonesia (UI) sebagai perguruan tinggi besar di Indonesia juga turut berperan dalam menghadapi ASEAN Community. Terkait dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peranan UNPAD, ITB, dan UI dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan untuk menghadapi ASEAN Community. Penelitian ini menyajikan karakteristik kelembagaan yang berbeda dari tiga institusi sebagai representasi dari keadaan perguruan tinggi yang ada di Indonesia.Teori yang digunakan untuk mengkaji tema penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif Kesejahteraan Sosial khususnya Teori Social Development dan perspektif Hubungan Internasional dengan Teori Epistemic Community. Metode penelitiannya adalah kualitatif dengan teknik studi kasus. Sumber data meliputi data primer melalui indepth interview maupun data sekunder dengan analisis deskriptif.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketiga perguruan tinggi tersebut sudah melakukan persiapan dalam menghadapi ASEAN Community. Hal tersebut dilihat dari aspek-aspek visi dan misi; aturan; pedoman tata kelola; student body; sumber daya manusia; infrastruktur; tri dharma perguruan tinggi; kerjasama internasional.
Air pollution is one of the global problems being faced by most major cities in the world. As the problem of air pollution increases, non-state actors emerge because of the limited role of the state in tackling these environmental problems. One of the non-state actors who is concerned about the problem of air pollution is Greenpeace which is a form of international non-governmental organizations. This study aims to describe an understanding of environmental NGO strategies in overcoming air pollution in Jakarta. The researcher uses qualitative research methods with a literature study approach. In library studies, data and information are collected and analyzed to understand the phenomenon under review. Based on the results of discussion and data analysis, Greenpeace has implemented its strategy in overcoming air pollution in Jakarta. From the nine strategies described by McCormick, Greenpeace has a tendency to use undertaking research strategies and Campaigning & organizing public protest
This article aims to understand and analyse Indonesia's involvement in ensuring peace, especially in peacebuilding efforts in Afghanistan. Indonesia’s commitment to improve its peace efforts in Afghanistan was expressed by President Joko Widodo during his visit to Kabul in 2018. This research used Lederach’s pyramid model of peacebuilding as the primary analysis tool. Lederach’s pyramid model identifies three approaches to peacebuilding, along with the main actors in the population affected by the conflict—namely top leadership, middle range leadership, and grass-root leadership. The results of the study show that Indonesia's involvement in Afghanistan in peace efforts has been carried out at all levels. Indonesia's peacebuilding efforts at the top level are focused on achieving Intra-Afghan Talks. At the middle range level, Indonesia runs capacity building programs and uses a religious approach through ulama. Furthermore, at the grassroots level, Indonesia focuses on empowering Afghan women as peace agents. The presence of Indonesia in all three approaches to Peacebuilding shows a positive mark for the overall Afghan peace process.
Abstract-As the country with athelargestMoslem population in the world, the study on the guarantee of halal products in Indonesia has not been optimally implemented. Currently, not all products circulating in the society are guaranteed to be halal, yet. Whereas the consumption of halal products is a major requirement for Moslems. To guarantee the halalness of a product circulating in the community, Indonesia comes by issuing UU 33/2014 concerning the Council of Halal Product Guarantee. Based on the mandate of the law in article 4 it is mentioned that inflow, outflow, and circulation of the products in the territory of Indonesia shall be halal certified by 2019. To obtain halal certification, a product will be examined and/or tested by a Halal Inspecting Agency that meets requirements such as laboratory ownership, researchers, and offices.Within this context, universities as the center of excellence which has an inherent obligation in scientific development and community service is a highly prepared institution that also meets the requirements to become a Halal Inspection Agency. Besides having infrastructure readiness in the form of laboratory equipment and office infrastructure facilities, some universities also have experts who have the experience to be a halal auditor of MajelisUlama Indonesia (MUI). Using qualitative research methods, this paper describes the strategies of higher education institutions, specifically,universities can actively contribute to supports Indonesia's halal product guarantee policy in 2019. First, higher education institutions especially universities can be the accountable Halal Inspection Agencies. Second, the halal research centers can engage in an active cooperation and partnership with other halal research centers in Indonesia or abroad, to gain more benefits in the dynamics of halal-related studies.
Artikel ini bertujuan memaparkan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat (PPM) yang terinterasi dengan kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata Mahasiswa (KKNM) Universitas Padjadjaran dalam semester ganjil 2019 di SMAN 1 Cicalengka berupa sosialisasi mengenai pengenalan Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan Internet of Things (IoT). Metode yang dilakukan adalah eksperimen dengan mengajak para siswa untuk ikut berperan aktif dalam kegiatan sosialisasi. Selain mendengarkan materi sosialisasi, para siswa melakukan simulasi mengenai keterampilan-keterampilan sederhana terkait IoT. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa SMAN 1 Cicalengka telah mengetahui mengenai Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan tantangan yang akan dihadapi. Internet of Things (IoT) yang diperkenalkan adalah artificial intelligence (AI), esport, dan Youtube.
