The teacher-centered mindset and teaching methods are still teacher-centered, closing the space for students to develop their creative thinking abilities. This study aims to determine the thinking skills of students in physical education learning using discovery learning models. This study used a quasi-experiment method and a pretest and posttest control group design. The research sample was obtained by means of cluster random sampling with a sample amount of 70 people. The instrument that used to measure students' creative thinking skills used the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT) which before be tested, it have conducted the validity and reability. The t test was used as the analysis of this study. Discovery learning model is proven to be able to develop students' creative thinking skills when learning physical education. This is proven by the sig value. 0,000. So the discovery learning model in physical education learning will be able to develop creative thinking on students. This learning model must be applied in various fields of education. Research on the same topic should be carried out in the future, with the variability of different educational levels of subjects or educational institutional settings
Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini adalah motivasi masyarakat kota Pekanbaru melakukan aktivitas olahraga melalui program car free day. Program ini dari kebijakan pemerintah mengadakan acara car free day dilaksanakan setiap hari Minggu pada Pukul 06.00 - 09.00 WIB di sepanjang Jalan Sudirman Pekanbaru. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah motivasi masyarakat Kota Pekanbaru untuk beraktivitas gerak olahraga melalui program car free day setiap hari Minggu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui motivasi masyarakat kota Pekanbaru Tahun 2020 untuk beraktivitas gerak olahraga melalui program car free day. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan survei. Dengan populasi yang digunakan adalah semua peserta yang hadir dalam acara car free day di kota Pekanbaru setiap hari Minggu berjumlah lebih dari 500 orang. Dengan jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 100 responden terbagi 4 kategori usia yaitu anak-anak 20 orang, remaja 50 orang, dewasa 15 orang, serta otang tua (lansia) 15 orang. Menggunakan rumus deskkriptif persentase (DP) untuk mencari jumlah sampel. Tekhnik pengambilan datanya menggunakan angket, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan data yang menunjukan bahwa anak-anak (88,6%), remaja (93,2%), dewasa (96,6%) dan lansia (94,1%) dalam kegiatan car free day tergolong tinggi, ini terbukti dengan presentase hasil penelitian menunjukan angka 90% dari 100 responden memiliki motivasi tinggi, sedangkan sisanya 10% responden memiliki motivasi sedang dalam kegiatan car free day dan 0% motivasi rendah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah motivasi masyarakat Kota Pekanbaru untuk beraktivitas olahraga melalui program car free day setiap hari Minggu di Kota Pekanbaru tergolong tinggi. Saran dalam penelitian ini bagi penyelenggara yaitu untuk senantiasa meningkatkan kualitas kegiatan dengan cara memanfaatkan sekecil apapun potensi setiap instansi dan masyarakat yang ingin berpartisipasi.
This study aims to determine the improvement of volleyball learning outcomes using the online system in class XII MIPA 2 MA Madinatun Najah Rengat. This research is a classroom action research, which is to determine the improvement of learning outcomes for volleyball using an online system. The subjects of this study were 27 students of class XII MIPA 2 MA Madinatun Najah Rengat. The value taking is cognitive using volleyball material tests or quizzes. The results showed that in cycle I there were 26 students who completed with a percentage of 96% and 1 student who did not complete it with a percentage of 4%, in the second cycle there were 27 students with a percentage of 100% and no one who did not complete. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that using online learning systems can improve volleyball learning outcomes in class XII MIPA 2 MA Madinatun Najah Rengat. It is hoped that this online system can be a solution for physical education teachers in teaching during the Covid 19 pandemic.
The background of this research is that there are still some basketball referees and coaches whose level of understanding is still lacking in the rules of the basketball game, seen during the game process, there are often debates between coaches and referees. The purpose of this study was to see the differences in the understanding of referees and basketball coaches throughout Riau on the rules in basketball games. This type of research is a comparative descriptive research, namely research that compares two different variables. The method used in this study is a survey method and data collection techniques using true-false tests. The population in this study were referees and coaches throughout Riau. The research sample was taken using a random sampling technique, totaling 25 trainers and 16 referees who were active throughout Riau Province. The results of this study obtained a sig value of 0.141 (p>0.05). So it can be concluded if there is no difference in the understanding of the referees and basketball coaches in Riau on basketball rules. If in hypothesis 1 it is said that there is no difference in understanding because the sig results obtained are p> 0.05. This happened because the average understanding of the coach and referee were both in the medium category. Research contributes to education, especially in the basketball branch, where this research can be known and understood by referees and coaches, so that in a basketball game a conducive game will be created.
